All I want for Christmas is an Aldi and a Home Bargains

Options
I keep on reading about people enthusing about bargains from them, but I don't have one anywhere near me.

I want, I want, I want! *stamp* :D

I have to wait until I visit dad to go to Aldi, I worked out the cost of getting to the nearest one is £23 so I'd have to make considerable savings to make it worthwhile. Home Bargains is even further, but at least you can access some of their bits on-line.

Can I stamp with you, and possibly slam a door or two?

Certainly. Don't bother with the main bedroom door - the carpeting muffles the effect. I've found the that kitchen door and tile combination leads to a very satisfying slam to accompany a tantrum. :)

I could do with an Asda a bit closer as well, and a Morrisons. I prefer the bathroom door for slamming purposes, partition walls and all those hard surfaces made a very satisfying noise - to the point that the kids refer to bathroom visits as 'going for a slam'.

Slowly but surely we are getting more choice of shops in the area near where I live. We dont have an Aldi or a Home Bargains store. However we do have a Sainsburys, Tescos, Asda, Waitrose, Morrisons, Lidl, a huge Iceland, M&S, Family Bargains, Poundland, The Range and Dunelm Mill :)

  • Not so keen on Aldi but I love Home Bargains. They really do have great stuff at amazing prices. I have two near me but you could have one of them if you like.

Home Bargains are like buses - you wait for ages and then three come along!!

I was like you , kept hearing about the bargains but did not have one anywhere near me, and then one opened up a couple of miles away and then another in the next town and yet a third about 20 mins drive away.

So you never know, one may be coming to a town near you soon!

You can all come visit me :D

Amongst the varying array of charity shops we have a Home Bargains, A B & M and a Family Bargains (which happens to be next door to Aldi)
