    Busy, busy, busy

Can I just shout out I LOVE THIS THREAD. Thanks to ongoing "persuasion" by the powers that be, each room is soooo much easier now I'm on top of them.

Seriously, in my last HHC (sort of 50 mins actually!) I went upstairs into our room and DD's room and

    - made beds, opened curtains, opened windows, wiped condensation, flirted yesterday's washing down the stairs, grabbed hoover, hoovered bathroom, our room, DD's room and study, S&S the bathroom, cleaned all surfaces in our room and DD's room, PC monitor, mouse, keyboard and surfaces in study, came downstairs, grabbed laundry from bottom of stairs, went into DS's room, did all the same jobs in his room and put WM on, emptied TD, folded and put away. :D

Wiped paintwork down the stairs, wiped fireplace, TV and electricals, phone, furniture etc., :D

Now just having a catch-up on here, before I grab the hoover and go through downstairs.

As I said earlier, I am not boasting, I am just utterly grateful to you all as I was able to do all this because my house is far less UNCLUTTERED, than it used to be.:T

THANK YOU, THANK YOU , THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU - you know who you are!:A:A:A:A:A

Of course, this is also a cop-out for dealing with my frogs :rotfl:

:oRoom of doom is too cluttered to work in...:o

So I grabbed two bags from it, emptied them onto a sheet I'd laid on the bed and got sorting listening to some music channel while I did.

Founds a bag of bits for the charity shop. Now have a ton of papers to burn in the fire later.

I must admit to being jealous a smidge when I read some of you can hoover your upstairs thoroughly. The bedroom is ok. The bathroom is ok. The landing is sh-t and so are the spares. Our house is, although getting better, is still awful. Although areas where I'd thoroughly decluttered then started flylady are better. But now flylady is helping attack the remaining very badly cluttered spaces.

Loving the pictures of the trees. Ours is up but undecorated. Need to dig out the boxes of decorations and get cracking when hubby gets home.

Take heart Mine All Mine. As a relative newbie, I can assure you that it will suddenly all fall into place. I 'found' an area yesterday that hasn't had a cleaned since the Dead Sea reported sick, but most of the rest of the house is pretty okay. I still have lots of Rooms of Doom if we are including the oven as one of the them, the attic, the coal hole ....

I have raked the leaves in the communal garden that no-one else ever seems to lift a finger in, and my resentment boiled over and kept me warm for the hour and a half that took. At least I won't need to put the heating on today. I've also swept and washed the backyard between the gate and the door so that when Lee wheels the new-to-me washing machine in he won't be tracking fresh mud over the fleeces covering the carpet. In the process I emptied all the bins and did the recycling and found a big yellow coloured puddle the in shower room. I s'pose I must have kept Dog waiting too long for her first walk this morning, but at least it was on the lino. Isn't she good?

Hugs for all those who have been for an interview and not got the job recently - it's demoralising. The good news is that the rule of thumb is that if you are shortlisted for an interview, it's accepted that you can do the job, so that's a positive. I think the most depressing thing must be to put in endless applications for jobs you know you can do, and never even get a response.
    Better is good enough.

Lovely tree Bossy - keep those little elves working, that's the spirit!

Mineallmine - Believe me, all my rooms used to be horrific with clutter, but once I got on top of them, it really is a minimal amount of effort to put things back in order. I also found that once they were in order, anything that shouldn't be around "stands out", rather that just being lost in the gibble.

I don't know if this little "tip" would help, but in my cluttered olden days, my bedroom was where my "bed" was, my bathroom was where my "bath" was and my spare room was where anything "spare" was. Once I decided to call my spare room a Study/Office, then I had to tidy it up as I cannot work efficiently when I'm surrounded by "stuff". Perhaps you could rename your "spare" rooms e.g. Ironing room/Crafting room whatever, and see if you can rehome what shouldn't be there. Of course, you would have rename the Landing, otherwise everything will "land" there :rotfl:

Thanks HB :) I'm pleased with stuff I've this week like the kitchen, the stairs and things. The spare rooms have a lot of emotional strings attached to them so I think thats why I struggle there. It's about reclaiming the space as much as anything.:o

DH's away now to Norwich so wont see him now until after we get back tonight so fingers crossed for him.

    Have since last post

    Emptied DW
Cleared away outstanding drying up (yes from last night)
    Hoovered hallway and stairs
    Washed hall floors
Wiped hall walls - oops forgot up stairs which is probably the muckiest bit :p
    Wiped stairs down
    Hoovered Dining room

And munched a huge Chicken and Salad roll

    Love your tree bossymoo

And Dusty I agree it would be lovely to see some more of the !ld' gang back

Right decisions now, do I shower now so I'm all done then can walk the dog before DD gets home or do some more and then get myself all behind and end up rushing. Think the former (my Dad doesnt like to be late anywhere and if I say I'll be there around 5, to him it means at least 5 to 5) so will see you later
