Well Roo's just eating his tea and I've jut had mine. Going to bath him then give him his milk and put him to bed, hopefully he'll be asleep by 7. I've still got tons of reading on my assignment to do. And it's soooo boring. I think I have 15 pages to get through
I think it will definitely be a half an block night
. Really feel like eating some yummy biscuits!

Just done an hour having a little break and then will get back on it. I have to say I'm really liking the cleaning and clearing, knowing that all I'm doing will really make my life easier in the long run, when I can focus on my routine/timetable a bit more. I'm struggling with trying to do a major overhaul in the cleaning stakes and write my assignment, but as of Thursday at midnight I am free, so can start my major clean up with avengence. Right, back to it!0

Sounds like you're doing we'll on the assignment front - little and often is good:) What are you studying?
I am really looking forward to getting back into OU studies - I did 2 maths courses before so have bought the books from eBay (as I threw mine out yonks ago) so I can revise before the next course start in Oct. Exciting:)
I love the sound of flylady too but Rees no way I could stick to it...I've always contemplated making my own version...but again, not got round to it:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Well I've written my intro, am a bit distracted this evening though
I do love studying I just hate the pressure of writing the assignments. Course fees are ridiculous now too. I'm studying english literature but with a possibility of changing to an open degree and doing the other half in design and innovation, still waiting for a reply back from the Uni though grrrrr.
OMG what a great idea!! I'm going to steal your idea and make my own fly lady plan, that suits me, but will be structured similarly to the proper flylady thread. I do love a structure and love ticking off lists so this should work a treat, I think I can adapt my time table to fit but do it weekly, I am a bit worried as to how I'm going to fit in all the house stuff over the week without spending every spare moment cleaning. I don't want to get all Anthea Turner and Perfect housewife about it, although I'm sure OH would love it if I did, although I'm sure he'd rather I looked like Nigella than Anthea.
have had to have some caffeine, as I was falling asleep, bad move as now I'm high as a kite, but atleast I should atleast get some more work done. 164 words down 1836 to go!!!!!!!!!
Hmmm am being distracted by thoughts of christmas shopping and flylady esq timetables!!0 -
ok have written 820 words which means I am over a third of the way through. My worry is, I still have loads to get through. I also have a feeling I have just been rambling on a whole load of rubbish and none of it is actually relevant to the question, which is what I did last time and didn't get the marks I wanted. I could carry on writing my rubbish this evening, or I can wait until tomorrow where I can hopefully see the wood from the trees, so to speak!
Am pretty tired, but having had that coffee, I doubt very much I am going to sleep
Right tomorrow. I would very much like to carry on with the kitchen, but I really need to get on with my assignments, so I am going to set myself a couple of little tasks to get done whilst Roo is under foot, and no studying can be done. Clean downstairs loo, clean bin, if at all possible, try and hoover the kitchen and wash floor (I doubt very much this will happen, but I can try) I would also quite like to do the last 3 remaining loads of washing, clean the cooker, load the dishwasher, wipe down the worktops, empty the fridge and clean the sink, but again I will try but definitely no guarantees. Don't worry tough I am not giving up on my cleanathon, its just my assignmet is just taking priority at the moment.0 -
Morning!
I hope you managed to sleep in the end.
Sounds like you have a busy day ahead - go easy on yourself as you do have an assignment to finish. I'd just do what you can around that until Thursday and then once you've finished and handed it in you can then concentrate on the house without having to think about your assignment!
I'm also liking the idea of doing my own flylady - I don't do structure/planning but I know that I need to or my life will continue to be chaos! My hubby is always on about me having a little routine....I just hate being stuck to doing something or anything regimental.....just not me. Can I change??? Who knows!!!!
Good luck today! xx0 -
thanks choc
I know what you mean about not being tied down to a routine, id really like to set something up that can change when I want to go out etc, but works in such a way things don't get left. I really need to be organised I think.
Well I have actually had quite a busy morning. I've folded and put away all the dry washing, I've stripped the spare room bed ready to be washed, done 2 loads of washing and hung one up. Tidied the toys in the living room and deep cleaned the bathroom, including the bath and the floor!!!! Feeling very pleased with myself. Just having breakfast and a coffee whilst roo sleeps. I'm ust watching Nigella, I do love her, although the way she cooks in her silk dressing gown without getting covered in ingredients I don't know!!!!0 -
well I'm up to 1092 words on my assignment, Roo is asleep at the moment, have done some more sorting/cleaning this afternoon. I have wiped down the worktops, the chopping block and the appliances on one side of the kitchen along with sorting out and restacking the books on that side. I have the other side to go but I'm not sure I'll get time for that today, maybe I can do it whilst Roo eats his tea, we'll see.
I can't wait for all this stupid washing to be dry, I really hate it hanging about everywhere, it makes everything look so untidy.
Why is it that the more you clean, the more you see there is that needs cleaning! I can't wait until everything is sparkling and I can get on with just doing a little bit each day to keep it that way. I have to say I underestimated how much there was to do before it would be in a state for me to put my routine into action.
oooh roos awake0 -
ok am writing my assignment or trying to, To be honest am really struggling, I feel like I am just rambling on and on and not really answering the question. I really want it to be handed in so I can think of nicer things other 18th and 19th century literature!!!! Please someone come along and offer me some encouragement or just give a huge kick up the backside, I really need it at the moment!!!0
