you said your were paying Talk talk £30, the question wasn't about sky

talk talk llu is £17.75 (for first 9 months, then 3.25 extra) including line rental, unlimited.

if you're already with them, you could haggle.

    Hi,

Yes, I know all about the excellent Plusnet. I once asked the BT forum Mods if I could switch to them and keep all my current services. To which unfortunately they said no, I couldn't. But to be honest, I've had no real major problems with BT. So I must be one of the lucky few, out of six million users. lol

Why would you expect an unbiased answer from BT Mods? Which services did they say you would lose?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

A forum search? On a problem and help forum? Where 99% of the posters are complaining. Now are you being serious? lol.

I see you mentioned Which and Comp Shopper, but you didn't mention this one, macman - For overall customer service -

    http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-2084868/Customer-service-TalkTalk-gets-Wooden-Spoon-award-AGAIN.html

And BT aren't even in the top ten. Their not perfect, by any means, but I've had over two decades almost spotless service from them. Which isn't bad... lol :rotfl:

But who are they complaining about most often? Not Zen or Plusnet.
Your quoted survey is based on all UK retailers-the consumer surveys I quoted were surveys specifically of ISP's.

    Indeed you were.

So out of over six million users, one would expect a few complaints.

And, working in Customer Services/other attached branches, for many years, I know that the amount of complaints any service provider recieves, is incremental to their size.

Unless you have another survey that says otherwise, lol. ;)

The stupid site (EE) isn't recognizing my post code or phone number. I'm in worcester anyways, so I don't think they would have it here in worcester.

That;s good value actually; worth a shot. But I HATE it when they throttle our speeds in the evening. And the OH doesn't like them. But their customer service is a bit of a pain. Sky was relatively painless. Will call Tesco tomorrow and cancel. Need to consider either Talk Talk or Sky now.

How did you get that number?
I can only get a miserable speed of 6Mbps for normal broadband. And after all the current discounts, it works out to £21.50 pm. I'd rather go with Sky or Talk Talk.

depends on the area and distance from your local exchange, I'm about 2miles as the crow flys from the exchange so I guess that's quite near?

My pactage is capped at 14mb which is what I get, so I could maybe get more? Virgin I was only getting around 8mb and they kept saying I was getting the fastest for my line.

Give them a ring, as I believe they have a deal with BT so their equipment is in a lot of exchanges (so I was told on here?)
