if you really want BT broadband cheap then go for Plusnet....

always near the top of the customer satisfaction charts but wholly owned by BT ( but run as a standalone unit)

    Hi,

Yes, I know all about the excellent Plusnet. I once asked the BT forum Mods if I could switch to them and keep all my current services. To which unfortunately they said no, I couldn't. But to be honest, I've had no real major problems with BT. So I must be one of the lucky few, out of six million users. lol

Oh, lordra, Plusnet are now going fibre, too, so they may be worth looking into. Their track record says excellent customer service (UK based) and very good value prices, too.

Please explain how you can get fibre for nothing.
I assumed that the fibre line would run all the way into my house! ;)

Hmmm, let me look into plusnet. Even if I don't choose FO, I'll still get broadband. I don't mine £5 extra pm if it means rock steady speeds and and an awesome connection.

    Sky Fibre Unlimited (estimated line speed: 40.0 - 40.0 Mbps) - £20
    Sky Talk Weekends - Free
    Sky Line Rental - £14.50
one off cost - Fibre Broadband activation fee: £50

That works out to 20+14.5=£34.5 pm.

If its normal broadband, then its 10+14.5= £24.5 pm.
12 month contract. How did you get £3.25 for Sky BB?

Its almost the same with PlusNet, with a 250gb monthly limit:

Plusnet Extra Fibre broadband - £19.99
    Line rental - £13.99
    Talk Evenings & Weekends - £0.00
    Monthly total: £33.98

    Plus £5 for router delivery

I was with Talk Talk for the last year and want to move now as they charge me £30pm for my unlimited broadband + line rental that they throttle during the evenings. I am a heavy user so will need unlimited. Got a good deal with Tesco but there are loads of negative reviews out there. I'm set to swap on the 10th. I can call all this off if I have some good intel from you guys. I don't mind £30 pm but only if its Fiber Optic. If not, then circa £20. I had SKY the year before and they were brilliant! Don't use the land line at all.

What do you think I should choose?

Are you on TT LLU or ADSL resold as TT ?
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

This is what the normal sky price is:
    Sky Broadband Unlimited - £7.50
    Broadband Surcharge - £2.50
    Sky Talk Weekends - Free
    Sky Line Rental - £14.50
    Total: Monthly cost - £24.50

Guess I'll go with it then unless someone has any other ideas.
