Anyone had any updates or contact from Vodafone yet ???

I am totally disgusted with vodafone for charging to browse vodafone live as this was the main reason I went onto vodafone three years ago after having problems with 3. What is interesting though is that when I took my sim card out of my vodafone phone tonight and put it back in, I had to set it all up again and it still states that vodafone live is free to browse. Have they missed a trick here. When the charges come through on my next mobile bill, surely they can`t make me pay. I have written to vodafone tonight to tell them I won`t be paying any vodafone live charges for just browsing. Is this a loophole that they have missed. This is my first ever post so please don`t shout at me I am just trying to help.0

where does it say it is free? Only Certain pages are still free.
I got billed more than £1, and everytime i ring they just say it's a new system and i should get refunded! I don't like the vodafone pages being chargeable, but i do like he fact the rest of it is cheaper (once i get my refund!)0 -

I have just tried again this morning and taken my sim card out and then put it back in but nothing happened. When I tried it with a sim card from a different company it asked me to reset all my settings and that is when it states it is free. I did not realise this when I posted this last night so I apologise if it was misleading. So turn phone off, take out battery and sim, put a different networks sim card in and try to turn it on and it wall say wrong sim card ,if it is still locked onto vodafone network, then turn off phone and replace with vodafone sim card and when you turn phone back on it will ask you if you want to reset all your settings, reply yes and about halfway through it will state that vodafone live is free to browse.0 -

are you sure they just haven't bothered to update the settings that tells you it's still free? After all i got billed more than £1 a day last month, and they admitted that they hadn't fully updated things0 -

Hi Ianjamie7
I work for Vodafone and may be able to help.
As you know, Vodafone Live itself no longer free, although there are a few free pages on there. These pages however tell you the page it's free, just so there's no confusion.
By what you've said, it sounds like what Kai666 has said, and we just need to update our settings.
If you get into contact with us, I'll be able to forward it on, so there's no future problems. You can do this by going to the Contact Us section of the Vodafone website. If you pick the option to send us an email, and include FIT135 in the body of the text, it will be picked up by myself or one of my colleauges.
We'll also be able to help with any questions or problems you might have.0 -
I have a work phone, that can be used as a mobile modem, and i used it last month a few times mostly ebay myspace facebook wikipedia, gmail, downloaded a few music tracks and pictures from deviantart and am now slammed with a £450 phone bill at work. Im utterly gutted as thats half my savings down the pan. I thought it was free on our work contract, no one said hoe utterly expensive it is. Im going back on my pay as you go, its utterly disgusting how much they charge for this service, thats pretty much 4 years of broadband there in one month.0
