HI
Last night wasn't to bad. Was home by 9.30 and only spent about £3 which included a dance class. So very good.
My mate is off on his cruise ship in about 2 weeks and is hoping to save lots of money because he's there for 6 months! Not my idea of fun, but there you go.
I have some Amazon parcels to post off today, but I am hoping for a nice low spend. I've brought lunch with me, so I wont be going to the supermarket and will eat in the canteen with my colleagues (Well that's the plan!) I've taken my money out for the week so hopefully I wont have to go over it. I need to get some shopping for Mum tomorrow, but if I'm good that can come out of my spends money (as I borrowed her £10) but she should only want bread rolls and a filling and that's not going to cost to much.
I've just earnt 7p interest on my A and L OD (I love being in credit for part of the month!) I guess every little helps.
I have my slimming class tonight and hopefully I've lost something, even half a pound would be nice!! I'll let you know how I get on.
Hope everyone has a good day. I'll update again later

Afternoon.
Just sat and eaten lunch. Now feeling very full!! Went out for a walk so I've had some exercise tovery pleased with myself.
Have manged to get some work done today to, just waiting for some people to call me back now. I hate waiting for phone calls. I have some people to chase so that will make the time go a bit quicker.
I've just been chatting to my best friend and she is going to have another go at selling her jewelry to make a bit of money. She studied design and silversmithing at uni and has never used it. She can't afford to set up a workshop, but she thought that trying to sell smaller pieces would mean she can build up and name and some funds to start her own business. Which is all very exciting.
I told her about the writing challenge and she thinks it's a wodnerful idea and what to read the first chapter/stories when I have finished them.
I love this site, I've managed to help her sort out her OD and think about ways of raising extra cash.

Morning!!
Well I managed to loose 1.5 pounds last night, which I am very pleased with, just going to keep it up this week and see what happens at next weigh in.
I have to get some food shopping tonight. I have now run out of things I need, and Mum comes home tomorrow and wouldn't have anything to eat. So I thought I had better get a few bits in
Having a lovely evening doing some housework tonight, I've not done any in over a week and it's starting to look like a tip. Ah well it'll keep me busy I guess.
Going to try and keep the spending as low as possible today, but needs must and I get paid on Friday so it's not so scary today! I have my action plan and things will just have to be paid off as quickly as I can, I'm going to try ans stop stressing so much about things. I need to relax!
So going to try and get loads of job work done today and then as much as I can tonight so I don't have to get up to early tomorrow.
have fun xCurrent debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -

Thats the only way I do housework!! Although the CD player in the kitchen is playing up so I will be move mine down to have a dance to.
I've been doing a bit more physical activity over the last few days and feel better for it, so will be trying to keep that up next week.
To be honest it's just been me and the cat at home, so there shouldn't be that much to do, I just tend to leave things around...Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Hmmm
Just done a little exercise with online banking. I can download statements and thought I would see how my spending has changed from pre LBM. I focused on Sainsburys as this is where I really need to cut back.
I looked at Feb to March and July to August and the difference £20!!!! That was all  This really has got to change!!! I have to get some food so have to go to Sainsbury's today, but it really has to stop and then I will try the exercise again and see how much difference there is. The scary this is, it only registers card payments, there have been many more with cash!!
I thought that is this works with Sainsburys then I will try is will the other places I shop a lot and try to reduce it. Same with cashpoint visits and try to get it down to once a month or something.
All I can say is Sainsbury's get far to much of my money!!!
Has anyone else tried this?Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Hi Lucy, just wanted to say i've really enjoyed reading your thread, you are really helping to keep me motivated to save. :j
I was awful when it comes to food shopping but in the last month i've tried the old trick of making sure you eat before you go so you don't impulse buy, and i take £20 (or however much the budget is for that week) out of the ATM and make sure i add up the prices of things as i go round so i don't go over budget. This has helped me lose a bit of weight too cos crisps and coke and all that lovely stuff aren't important when you need to buy the basics!
Good luck on your debt free mission!Natwest OD = £1800
