No not veggie, OH is illergic to cheese! Does make him hard to cook for. He has to be careful with other diary products to.
I'm sure I'll think of something. I have a nice meatball recipe, but it involves Fromage frais and he's never had it so I need to find an alternative, I did think that cornflower would thicken the sauce, guess I would just need to try it.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Morning.
Well no more frogs over the weekend :T. I've had another couple of Amazon sales, although I did go shopping at the weekend. I spent money, but I'm not going to worry about it. I'm just going to pay it off. I have everything I need now, so shouldn't really need to spend much over the next few months which will give me time to sort myself out.
And I am not feeling guilty about it, so that must be a good sign!
But I've got up to date balances and I am going to keep an eye on them over the next week and then sit down on Saturday morning before Mum comes home from her sisters and sort out the budget for Sept.
Looking forward to pay day on the 20th as it's a chance to sort everything out and start sticking to my budgets. I'm feeling excited by everything again, which is guess is a sign that I'm getting better?
Just wish I could shift some weight again now. Getting back on my feet feels really good. I'm very tried today and struggled to get up for work, but I'm sat at my desk so managed it :rotfl: just going to have a early night tonight I think.
Got another busy day at work, trying to set up a new system, so my boss and I are going to sit down today and work out how we are going to run it. We have such great plans.... it's putting them into action that causes that problems!!
Anyway, today is going to be a positive day. I'm going to look at my spreadsheets and do a 'long range forecast' for next month and see if I can guesstimate where I'll end up financially. Such fun!!

Afternoon.
Just thought I would pop on a quick update. I've worked out that if I do my piggy clicks everyday (need to remember this!) I could make £18 worth between now and Christmas and give the total I already have, I'm well on the way for a couple of vouchers.
Which will really help towards Christmas presents. I think that rather than give people the vouchers (I hate doing that) I'll use them to buy gifts off the net. Just need to remember to do them every day.
Just had a chat to my Friend and we are going to save up and go on a day trip. I have a buy one get one free on entry to some tourist attractions, so if we take a packed lunch we can have a cheap day out. It'll be something to look forward to anyway.

Good idea - always good to have something to look forward to, even if it is just a day out!
Can you enlighten me... Piggy Clicks???Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I've just done my clicks and I'm hoping for another voucher towards christmas too. I think I'll be doing much the same as you and buying gifts with them although my neice is getting a little fussy and may prefer to buy her own.
Hopefully the thought of the day trip will keep your spirits up. You are doing well with your Amazon sales though.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Thanks. It's making me a bit tired actually. It's a bit hard to keep up with. I need to try and find some time to have another good sort through everything and work out what else and go.
The car boot got rid of some stuff, but there is still more I haven't been able to face..... I might have a look in the storage cupboard tonight. I know that there are at least 2 more boxes with books in them. It could do with tidying anyway, stuff just got thrown in there last weekend.
Have you thought of a wants list for your niece? It's how me and my best friend sort things out when we are stuck. We give each other a little list of things we would like, but nothing to expensive. That way we still get a surprise, but know that it's going to be something we want.
I'm just glad I've got to grips with piggy clicks now. I've got into a routine which helps.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Oh ****!!! just checked my online account and I'm now £360 OD  I badly miss calculated somewhere  . Oh well not much I can do about it is there.
But I have some more books to go onto Amazon, so hopefully that will help. I'm thinking that it might be worth transfering some over from my A and L account, but I don't really want to do that. I might see how I get on in the coming month and do it that hard way.
Guess it's time to start budgeting properly from now on.
Well that's a downer on the day. Not a good way to start. It's my own fault, so I am just going to have to be careful aren't I.
It's just a bit poo. I really hate myself when I do this, I should have learn't by now.
Ok, so I am guessing I should treat this as LBM2 and start again. I know that there is nothing that can come off my SOA, so I'm just going to have to work on the budget. I have to get some shopping tonight, but will make it Lidil instead of Sainsburys.
Trips to the supermarket at lunchtime are going to have to stop and I am only going to buy things I actually need rather than things I want. The things I want can go onto a list for when I have some money.
Wish me luck and I may need some help with this.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Morning Lucy-
Don't be too down on yourself - I'm sure we've all known what's it's like to miscalculate, look at the bigger picture, you're still doing really well!
Have you been keeping a spending diary? Sounds like you're a bit like me, small purchases in your lunch hour and snacks here and there- they add up, so it can help seeing them written down. I personally will be avoiding the shops today as it's precipitating from the heavens.
It'll soon be the end of the month and you can "regroup" as it were! Best wishes xxxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
I know. I'm trying to calm down.
I popped on another thread asking for advice so, hopefully someone will come up with something.
I've brought lunch with me and will just have to resist shopping. I do try to keep a spending diary, although it has sort of gone out of the window. I need to be better at it.
I'm having my hair cut on saturday (only £10) and I should be able to last the rest of the week on another £10 as I really need to get some food! (Mum left me some money before she went on holiday) But I just going to try and be careful.
A learning curve like you said.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Big hugs honey - I'm currently having the same issues - too much spending for me though and I think that you've been so good cutting back etc. so make sure you aren't too hard on yourself hon.
