Remember Our Love
I was chosen today
I'm learning to fly
the world took me away,
but please don't you cry
And I chose you today
to try and be strong
so please don't you cry
and don't say that I'm gone
When you're feeling alone
just remember our love,
I'm up near the stars
looking down from above.
Remember our love
In a moment you'll see
that I'm still here beside you
when you're thinking of me.

I don't know you, but I cried for you reading this. I'm so, so sorry for your loss, but glad that you managed to have the night to say goodbye to each other. Thinking of you.
RIP little Mitzi0 -
Sad + having a little cry , for your loss . Still have my poorly cat and know one day before too long it'll be us in this position . Kind thoughts and best wishes to you all.0

Hi Jojo
That made me cry so much. It reminded me of having to put my kitten to sleep after she'd been hit by a car a few years back. She had kidney damage, a broken jaw and a dislocated paw but still somehow managed to find her way home. My neighbour told me that she'd hit her but she ran off so fast she couldn't find her. I spent two days in agony waiting for her to come home and when she did I did the only kind thing I could. Even the vet cried. It's our one last act of kindness for them.
Sending huge hugz and kisses. Be strong and be happy that she's at peace.

Here's a song John B sang at one of his concerts after he lost one of his beloved doggies. Hope it brings you some solace.
Goodbye My Friend
Oh we never know where life will take us
I know it's just a ride on the wheel
And we never know when death will shake us
And we wonder how it will feel
So goodbye my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the time together through all the years
Will take away these tears
It's okay now
Goodbye my friend
I've seen alot of things that make me crazy
And I guess I held onto you
We could have run away and left, well maybe
But it wasn't time and we both knew
So goodbye my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the love you gave me through all the years
Will take away these tears
It's okay now
Goodbye my friend
Life's so fragile and love's so pure
We can't hold on but we try
We watch how quickly it disappears
And we never know why
But I'm okay now
Goodbye my friend
You can go now
Goodbye my friend
