    Actually - just trying out Google Drive (cloud sync) and it seems to be working fine - it uploaded my files really fast

    Just see if I can access it at work on Monday

    also test what it does if I delete a file - will it just put it back (sync with existing cloud) or will it delete from cloud backup (like it would with an email)
    was just reading about drive google on wiki, 5gb free;;don,t think I,d rely solely on it though.see how you get on.: where did you find it ? security, had a couple of hits ???beer:

    Just sign in to gmail - you should see 'drive' as an option

    should get a prompt to download google drive app

    this is the app that will sync a folder on your PC with your google drive
    When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

    Hi Jethro, done that ok.
    When uploading a folder for backup, does it remove folder from pc, or just replicate it in drive, leaving the original on pc , to be added to or amended ?
    Also, does it auto amend drive as I save or delete docs/pics etc on pc ?.
    actually;;
    Don,t know if 5gb is enough? Ordered new 8gb stick, probably needed 16gb.just put docs and pics on it.
    I back C>D weekly scheduled, and just looked and D is showing 93.5 of 107 unused, so used 13.5gb.
    Presume that includes all progams etc on C everthing ?

    my mistake, £65 from pcworld. which I won,t use, don,t like them;;:beer:thanks for link
  • one point to bear in mind whatever you use and it seems you would like "does it auto amend drive as I save or delete docs/pics etc on pc" if you delete / amend on the pc and they get reflected on the backup/whatever it defeats the object of backup. Backup is at least 3 copies of your data (to be useful) ie Grandfather/Father/Son. If you delete/amend something on your PC and it gets reflected on your online/other backup how can you recover the stuff you delete/amend by mistake.
