You also need Syncback Freeware version
I've been using it daily at work for over 5 years
I backup "My Documents" (on my work laptop) to 8gb memory stick several times per day
You can set it up to sync folders or to sync a working folder to a backup folder (thats what i do)
If you just 'sync' folders it means that you can edit files or add new folders/files to either folder and it will just make sure each folder contains latest edits/folders/files - but if you delete a file/folder it will put them back again (sync from other folder), which is no good for me
If you Backup a working folder - you can only edit/add to the working folder, and all changes incl new folders/new files/file edits & deletes will be replicated in the backup folder (memory stick in your case) - benefits being that if you delete files from working folders, it deletes them from the back up (memory stick) too
It is Uber fast!!! - faster than Windows - You wont believe how quick it is - and it only syncs file changes & not the whoooooole folder each time - After I copied My Docs folder over to memory stick once for the very time, it now backs up My Docs to My memory stick in few secondsWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

Used to use Mozy cloud, free. but lost it when doing factory restore. Is cloud better, than stick,?:beer:0 -

USB sticks are great for temporary storage and moving stuff between PCs, but they can and do fail ....
wouldn't rely on one as the only backup of anything important.0 -

Actually - just trying out Google Drive (cloud sync) and it seems to be working fine - it uploaded my files really fast
Just see if I can access it at work on Monday
also test what it does if I delete a file - will it just put it back (sync with existing cloud) or will it delete from cloud backup (like it would with an email)When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
