Hi. I would love to join please. Is this the right place to get my number ? I know it's a bit late but anything will be better than the £0 it is now. I'm quite excited.

Hi Missmarple, yes this is the right place. The lovely Sue will be along shortly to give you a number which she and Sparky would love you to put on your siggy. :)

One it's never too late and two we only started this month so you're pretty much joining at the beginning of the 2013 challenge!! :D

If you haven't already done so, pop yourself over to the first post on page 1 to read pretty much everything you'll need to know about the sealed pot challenge! But, if you have any questions just ask. ;)

  • Good evening!! I have to admit to lurking around ad seeing alot of people with "sealed pot challenge" in their signatures, and that made me think about the money cylinder my dad made me and my siblings when we were little to see who could get dad to open them first. He made them at work, their stainless steel, about a foot and a half tall and lets say a tea coaster wide lol and who ever filled their's first, dad would take it work and have to use a GRINDER to open it lol, I have no idea how much was in there (probably about 20p) but I saw this thread and i thought that my 'money pot' would be perfect, so me and the OH have decided everything under 50p (not including 50p's) is going in there (about two weeks ago), and oh my i've lost count of how many times i've heard the clatter of coins hitting the bottom of the pot lol, So In short terms, I'd say i've got atleast £7 in there, and was wondering if i could join the list? :) Thanks :j

Hopefulmoneysaver94 that's such a lovely story!! :) Welcome to the challenge! I also used to wonder what SPC etc etc was. It's quite fun to try and work out what other peoples signatures actually stand for!! There are so many different challenges!

Sue will happily give you a number next time she pops on. :) As I mentioned to Missmarple if you have any questions just ask and if you haven't already done so pop yourself over to page 1 and the first post will answer most questions you might have. ;)

I potted another pound this evening in exchange for some washing liquid from Mossy's Market! :D

  • Evening all, well I'm certain now that I'm losing the plot completely   (methinks it must be the back pain :o ) I decided this morning that although my back feels a little bit easier it would be too much of a risk to do any more housework :p so I would tackle the pile of old post and leaflets (which DH insists on keeping 'just in case') which have plopped onto the mat in the last week and which are just sitting on the breakfast bar. In amongst the pile was an envelope containing £3.50  and I have no idea how it got there. The scary thing is that it's my own handwriting on the front  Anyway, the coins have found new friends in my pot!

Hello to any newbies! and <<HUGS>> to anyone poorly. Get well soon x

I still hadn't the chance to get a SEALED pot yet, so ended up raiding it on tuesday for my son's footy subs.. £3!!

There has been money going back in since then, but only pennies. I really must get a pot that I can't open, as I would have been forced to nip and get cashback from the shop then. Oh well, still plenty of time to make it up :-)

    Potted £1 today :-)

Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
  • Haha NU1ISIT that really made me chuckle :D

Reminds me of my brother when I was small - he dabbed his fingers in some white icing sugar that was on the worktop... only to find it was washing powder :rotfl: (that made me chuckle too)

Had a good day today... finally my Christmas tree is up! :xmastree:Plus all my ironing is done and I have got rid of the 'socks box' - a massive box of odd socks that is the bain of our mornings, trying to find a pair. We have a ridiculous number of socks between us and it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack, so I paired what I can and have thrown the rest away!

... I have started some wrapping too and to top it all I found a fiver in dd jean pocket whilst doing the washing... so I rescued it ;) (I think it was actually my change from the shop anyway).

Can't believe Christmas Eve is a week tomorrow...:xmassmile
