Ooooh little_sweetie, those prolapsed discs sounds VERY painful. T has had disc problems most of his adult life, but yours sound horrible.

Good luck with the tree, nu1isit?. .....and you were surprised that your DW laughed at you with the garlic flakes??! :D Our dear lass is much like that...she'd still be giggling at such things long into the next day. :(

Well done, emmlouie, though keep visiting this thread and you'll get plenty of incentive to want to save more. :)

You're really doing well, rasp, these regular thread visits are surely paying off and encouraging you! :j

The joys of working with kiddies, mossy! I really hope you're soon feeling much better - and keep free of another bout. Ice Pops/Poles also help sore throats and are without calories! ;)
Potted £1.27 today :D this potting lark is so addictive! :o

That's what we love to hear, slowlyfading, as it makes for even greater saving throughout the year. :grinheart

    Brilliant saving, Kerry! :D

Is it cheating to keep a running total? I really love spreadsheets and now I have an excuse to make another one :j £11.45 since joining on Tuesday very impressed!

Of course it isn't cheating, zebramolli, you do it exactly as you wish. :)

There are some wonderful savings going on, EVERYONE, keep hard at it and you'll all be rewarded with great Totals next year! :D

Totals are still slowly coming in from other members
, but don't worry as I want to jubilantly declare the Grand Total just as quickly as you all do....here's hoping it won't be much longer! :)

Am I allowed to pot money from a 2nd income not my main wages?

Erm good question, firstly I would say that any saving is absolutely fantastic!! Although whether that extra amount from a second wage could be included I'm not sure. I expect Sue will be along to help you out soon. In the meantime I found this on the first page which says...

NB. A few notes of interest.

1/ Any money given as a gift (other than Birthdays, Christmas etc) I.e.. Inherited can not be included as savings. Likewise any money put directly into the bank, or taken from wages is nothing to do with SPC and cannot be included in members' Totals

So if it were me then I'd save away like a crazy person either way!! If it can't be include in the SPC then I'd be tempted to chuck it straight in to an ISA. ;) But perhaps because it's a second income it's different. Good luck with your saving either way! :D
