Potted 30p today :D Wouldn't have saved anything if I hadn't found you guys so pretty pleased!! It will all add up over the year! :T

My house deposit is also building up steadily. I have two months worth of rent coming up that I can save in there too (we have been paying six monthly in advance and go to monthly in March) so that will be another £1700! As soon as we input DH's tax return online on the 6th April we'll be at the bank to see how much we can borrow and get going so we don't have long to get to our £8k goal!

I know you guys have already realised it, but potting really makes you think about the money you spend everyday. If you'd be over the moon to find 10p roadkill or pot a £1 you begin to be more aware of what you're spending and try not to waste it like you may have done in the past! :A It's not just about saving it helps you see money differently as well. ;)
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

Hi all, only been managing to pot a few roadkill pence the last couple of weeks. I haven't had any money in my purse at all. It's keeping me awake with it's empty tum rumbling. :rotfl:

A BIG welcome to all our new potters. You never knew how much fun saving was did you. Good luck and enjoy yourselves.

    HI all

Potted 5 shiny £1 coins this morning before going to work which I just knew I would spend if they stayed in my purse and do you know what, I didn't miss them at all :rotfl::rotfl:

I love, love this thread, what with this and the other one that I am on who knows - I may be a millionaire by November next year :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Take care all

  • I don't have to wait until Friday to buy a tin, I kidnapped my daughters empty Mickey Mouse Clubhouse one :o She did make me promise her I would buy a new one at the weekend for her though.

So I emptied my husbands pockets, what is it about men and money in pockets?!, and took some loose change out of my purse so off to a flying start of £2.95... Very pleased with myself :D
