A lovely shiney gold star to you, Kerry, :staradmin a lovely welcome, thank you.A few hubby rummages carried out in the last couple of weeks, but didn't get round to reporting in...!
Aha ToniLiz!! We all know that you and your hubby rummages only leads to ONE thing. :kisses2: ......so we're never surprised when you don't show for a while. :rotfl:Happy saving and keep rummaging!
Good to see you hell-bent on getting to that challenge, Lynsey, I've a feeling you'll get there.
Sorry to hear of your problems, jakes-mum, good to hear it's all come right though. Bureaucracy goes mad at times, they've possibly nowt better to do.I may have shot myself in the foot! My 5year old is now much better than me at spotting road kill (well she is closer to the ground :rotfl: ) and she wants to keep the money to put in HER pot!! I know it shows I've taught her well about saving but WHAT ABOUT MY POT????????
Oh dear, starnac, in doing all the right things you've messed up good and proper, but what a saver she could turn out to be! :j You're doing her proud!charleybear wrote: »Also I can't remember if I asked before but would it be okay to empty my piggy bank every month and start saving again (putting the saved cash into my savings account) ?
Of course you can, charleybear, a lot of folk do it so you go ahead. Just be sure to pop the amount on your siggy. Thanks.
Well, I'm getting ready to watch both tennis matches soon, it'll be brilliant no matter who wins....but I'll miss it all next week.Have a good Friday and a GREAT weekend, everyone. Remember.....the pots won't fill emselves!

Afternoon all.
2 x £1, 2 x 50p and 5 x 20p coins potted = £4. That's me over the £400 mark now.........................whoohooo. :j
£401+ potted now and still approx 20 weeks to "weigh in".
So an average of £10 per week will get me to that £600 mark Sue.

Good morning all, or good evening to Untouchable and mummytummy.
The sun has got his hat on and it's going to be a fab weekend.
Probably no saving today, just soaking up the rays. lol
Can't complain, had a decent week.
Be careful picking up any road kill - don't burn your fingers on those hot coins.
Have a great weekend and be lucky.

Lynsey - well done on getting to another milestone with the potting. Its very exciting. My nephew asked me the other day how much I thought I had in the pot and I had no reasonable idea. Don't know who will be more excited when it comes to counting up time, me or him
I am taking the plunge and potting £12 today. I am going to have a wonderfully lazy weekend at home, getting some vitamin D (sitting in the sun) and getting some university work done.....so don't anticipate spending much.
Oh and I have purchased (via my ebay sales) a terramundi for nephew with the words "future millionaire" on it and another one for my niece. They will be part of their Christmas pressies, but I am going to make up a box with the terramundi in it plus some laminated instructions along the lines of "if you save £25 in the next year then I will give you another £5" and "if you save £40 ......." Think it will be like a game to them and keep them a bit focused on not wanting to smash open the pot!!! I can but hopeSPC No:118:j (6) £468.74 (7)

nell36 - a great saving idea and hopefully an education on values. Well done.
Hope you get a nice "surprise", I like to set goals and hate failing. That works for myself, but appreciate the "surprise" factor. I'm hoping for approx £30 - £40 "surprise" on top of counted £'s.
"Pay Day" is getting closer day by day. lol

Nell, that is such a brilliant idea! I might have to do that this christmas as well, we're planning on starting up pocket money for my kiddies, we're not sure how much though!
Lynsey, I think you deserve to catch some of the rays! such a great accomplishment
I sat on my bed today after the kids left for their nans and my pot sat next to me and i shook it around. Come oooon opening day! I keep trying to figure out where the level is. here is an image of it and I think it is around the level on the bottom of 'the money fund' which I am really pleased about for only having done the pot for two months or so! I haven't checked my 5c and 10c tin and its a bit of a moot point to check my notes tin!Sealed Pot Challenger #2080 2013
