That cake looks so delicious, jakes-mum, did you save me a piece? A very Happy Birthday to Jake - NOW can I have some cake?! ;)

Its on the side waiting for you! better hurry up and come claim it cos Jakes had his eye on it so it might not be there much longer :rotfl:. It must have tasted good mind, as my mum after having a slice said 'oh you could make a g/f cake every week'

Ty dreamer helen and nells :) I was out like a light last night, and DH chucked a sheet over the bird so we didnt get woken up to him shouting for attention at 7am either :D

Ahh Nells, your nephew is lovely :D I love it when the kids say things like that (whether they manage the promise or not doesnt matter, just the thought is soo sweet) always makes the fight just that little tiny bit easier, love him :D

Our Georgie is definitely trying to talk now, we are sure we can here 'pretty bird' and I definitely heard 'Georgie' yesterday afternoon, so of course now everyone is talking to him non stop to try and get him to speak :rotfl: I did say with 1 Miss have a chat in the family, did we really want the bird following suit, or would it be a blesing in disguise as she could sit and talk to the bird all day instead of us :rotfl:

Dreamer Helen and Jakes mum - my nephew is a sweetie, talking of which he conned me into buying him a packet of wine gums today stating "but my money is in my pot and I am not touching it"!!! Seems he is one step ahead of the game!!!

£2.34 potted for me today. Nephew potted nothing but gained a packet of wine gums :)

Kids are savvy aren't they nell? When we went on holiday at Easter my mum gave my DD £5 for "chips and ice cream". One day DD asked to go in the shop and she spotted a doll she liked. I told her she could buy it out of her holiday money. She was most offended as "nanny said that was for chips and ice cream!"

A bit late, but I would like to join please, off to find a pot! I'm going to put in £5 for every weekend I don't have a drink (price of a bottle of wine!) along with all my loose change and road kill.

Welcome to the mad house sophie.christie :hello:

Sue will allocate you your number to add to your signature which helps with the counting up in November. It's really handy to subscribe to the thread if you haven't already so you don't need to trawl through the forum to find us (just click on Thread Tools and Add subscription). I'm sure you've already read the first post....but if not, it's also very useful. I do like your plan of potting money not spent on wine - good luck

And I'm on to say I've finally got some cash to pot. I've been really good at containing my spending to my cashback CC which is good for building up the cashback...not so good for my hungry pot :)

3 £2 coins from change from a lottery ticket I succumbed to yesterday (non-winning :() - but £6 in the pot is a good result :A

    Happy Sunday
