What's with all the birthdays this week!!!!!!!! It's mine on Friday.........I'm 21............again!!!!! :o:o

I have firmly believed that there is nothing good on TV ever in August and this is the reason for all the May birthdays :D. In our family alone its my best friends on the 1st, SIL 1 on the 4th, SIL 2 on the 12th, me on the 19th, My sister on the 26th, LC2's on the 27th (honorary family member :kisses3:) and my sons on the 31st! oh not to mention my nephews on the 5th of June and my niece on th 14th June :rotfl::rotfl:

I told Miss Lily that I was 21 and she said 'no mummy your 24!' and happily told everyone she met this 'fact' :D I wasnt complaining :rotfl:, unfortunately nanny informed her I was a big fibber and actually 34, wonder if I can convince her next year ill be 25:rotfl:

    Happy birthday ModestyB :D

Re: bulging pots ;) I just buy a new pot and hide my old one, im covered for £1K cash on my house insurance anyway and I dont see it as any different to having an expensive TV, games console or vehicle. If someones going to break in they'll steal everything not nailed down anyway

A good day! I potted 55p and asked hubby to empty his pockets. He had no change only a five pound note

"You can pot that if you like" he said.

Well I didn't Need asking twice!!! I folded it up very small and squeezed it in the box!!

    Far too excited by this!

What a wonderful hubby you have :D

    Hey guys,
Pocket shrapnel squeezed into the pot today.

I'm in a dilemma now - I know we are halfway to the target date next Tuesday (which is also my birthday - yes, yet another May birthday - me and Kylie Minogue - my twin sister LOL!). I'm unsure whether to empty the bulging pot to bank halfway through and start the pot again or.... just get another pot??? What do others do when the pot is starting to get to bursting point??

I tend to bank mine into its own savings account. That way i also get interest and it's still kept separate. This will only work for you IF you have the willpower to leave it there!

I feel the need to say a general HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of you with May birthdays on here - imagine if we sent cards it wouldn't be very money-saving!
My trip out with OH last night was lovely and I potted 80p when I got home so I'm happy. I'm down to £1 in my purse now but hey we get paid on Friday yay!
Hugs and good wishes to all that need them :)

Emily your holiday sounds great enjoy it :)

To bank or not to bank? - I do, I don't like too much money in the house and mine isn't included in the insurance so I bank now and then :) It's completely up to you though and what suits you :)

Hi all, sorry haven't been on here in weeks (hangs head in shame). Hope everyone's well, and happy birthday to all those with recent or upcoming celebrations.

I'm always extremely envious of others on here who manage to pot a considerable amount of roadkill, as although I really do keep a lookout for 'lost' money...I never seem to be the person to find it. Last week however I was walking through our local outlet centre and I found....drum roll...a £20 note on the floor. It has been added to my pot (minus the cost of a latte from Starbucks - my celebratory drink for having found the money).

I've got a shrapnel pot on my desk at work that I've been adding to for a few months. Now that I've joined the challenge I'm taking it home to add to my pot. It's a bumper pot day today!!

Just wondering, with all the May birthdays in our gang, and the fact we will have reached halfway to count up day next Tuesday, should we have a potters party..?! I can bring some virtual sandwiches, virtual trifle and virtual balloons. Anyone fancy joining me?? :j

(few bits of coinage potted today by the way..!)

I'm in ToniLiz - any excuse for a party eh _party__party__party_

Found....wait for it......1p in the bottom of my handbag. I decided to also pot the £1 coin that's lived in my purse all week to keep the 1p company.:rotfl:

I hadn't even considered what to do if my pot is full before opening day - and now it nearly is :D. Think I'll follow jakes-mum's lead and hide it when it's full. I really like having it sitting by the PC begging to be fed and think I would lose motivation if I banked it.....others clearly have more willpower than me :A
