Jakes-mum - you've inspired me with all of your FB selling and I've taken a break from the cleaning to post my first item for sale! It's something that I've been hoovering around for ages and really won't use so decided to put it on FB and see if it sells......no harm done if not :)

Time for tea and scone now then back to the cleaning :A

Haha, im going to start a FB selling revolution :D im much preferring it to fleabay, no fees, no bidding, no postage and they check the item before they pay me so no returns! :j:j

Evening everyone, just a quick check-in as I am excited to report that I am now over halfway towards my target, whoopee! If I continue to do so well I might just have to revise it upwards; I love a challenge, me :D

Brilliant work, Lindylou!! Keep it up and you may even surpass your Target - now there's a challenge for you!

All best wishes to your DH, dollydog, I hope he can find a job very soon. For now, how about putting all shrapnel into a 'holding pot'. Then if you can afford to save it then do so, if not, it's there for when you need it.

A far better idea to put the £100 to the loan rather than the pot, Ruth, very sensible indeed.

MissE, that was a real delight to read, it's always wonderful to see that folk who've never saved before now do so so well!! Great news!

{{{Hugs}}} heading your way for sure, Helen. What a shame you didn't at least hang onto that £10 you won though, after all if you hadn't won it.........! As you're in work why not try to budget more and help yourself out that way. Buying shop sandwiches is very expensive for a start so buy a loaf of bread, some butter and a filling, it's a LOT cheaper and far less fat in than bought ones. Think MSE for Helen's sake! ;)

Oh dear, LC 2, it doesn't sound as though your DGS3 knows what a bolognese really is - or does he? :undecided

Have a great day, folks, keep warm - again!.

Well, I'm delighted to report my very first FB sale - £10 for something that I was never going to use. I completely agree with you jakes-mum, so much easier than fleabay :j :j

But, ahem, I'm not going to pot it just yet....I'm out with friends I haven't seen for ages at the weekend and not sure I've quite budgeted enough. I'm going to park it in my purse and if it's still there on Sunday it will be potted :A

I did find 10p housework-kill though so that's been potted

Hugs to all who need them :)

Hope you feel better soon DreamerHelen, colds can make you feel absolutely rotten! And like everyone else has said, it's great that you had money in the pot to help you :)

Dollydog, I'm glad you have the opportunity to do O/T and won't starve! Fingers crossed he'll find something quickly though.

Jakes-mum I'm glad your DD has become a bit more accustomed to her wobbly tooth, I hope she doesn't relapse into screaming etc when it does come out. Still, I'm sure she'll adapt like she has to the wobbly tooth...I'm sure the magic tooth fairy will help and the novelty of wiggling her tongue in the gap ;)

I did not manage to have three days of NSDs as I got tempted by a offer on nail varnishes in Superdrug...and I did do really well at work today...and I have been having a tough week at work...and it is payday tomorrow...and my OH said I could get them...and it would provide change for the pot. That was pretty much my thought process standing in the shop ;)

So in my purse I have £2.02 that I'm about to put in the pot.

After work I went to Sainsbury's with my OH and we bought lots of ice cream  My OH gave me 58p of the change he gave me to put into the pot...after a bit of persuasion and doing puppy dog eyes

    So potting £2.60 today :D

After two NSD (completely by accident!), I went and blew some money on a packet of crisps! So £1.50 in the pot today (saving the rest for some chips tomorrow, I love chippy friday!)

Well done Miss E0001 :j :j first of many FB sales :D

Ahh Dingle, you must be psychic  she bit into an apple earlier then came running through shouting 'it came out! it came out!' and proudly dropped a shiny white tooth in my hand :D She was very excited at the prospect of the tooth fairy and even whilst cuddling down in bed said 'you do think the tooth fairy will come dont you mummy?' and after reassuring her that I was certain she would come if DD went straight to sleep she looked at me and said 'are you the tooth fairy mummy?' I responded with 'what coin does the tooth fairy bring for a first tooth?' and she said 'a £2 coin mummy' and I said 'and what coin will mummy never ever ever give up to anyone?' and she said 'a £2 coin mummy, you put them in your tin' . . I left it at that ;)
