Evening everyone
Think I have just recovered from the trauma of the birthday sleepover to swap it for the remembered trauma of the first wobbly tooth scenario... Miss Eve shrieked very loudly (and still does, come to that...) Tis plain sailing after the first one, Miss Lily, and lots of lovely shiny pound coins in the offing!!
Congratulations on the baby news, chelle and ETO (ooh, not long to go now!) Sort of makes me feel broody, or probably just nostalgic for those cute baby days. I think DH might divorce me if I suggested another one!! (Good job it's highly unlikely at 45, but won't be taking any chances lol :rotfl:)
sparky, sorry to hear that the nasty neighbour trouble isn't going away. I quite thought you were avoiding us but know better now
Anyways, just to report a cheeky fiver in the sealed (only it's not any more as DD pulled the tape off but I am not opening it)pot today, plus a couple of two-pound coins in the cow pot.

Well now know why DH was so nice yesterday he had booked the day today to go fishing with his mates and of course he needed some bits and pieces. Yes I love the sunshine don't want to be a spoil sport but I do wish it would really rain, storm and hail and perhaps snow just for an hour :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: As I needed the car had to get up at some unearthly hour to drop him off
Never mind I'm sure my pot will be grateful to him later :rotfl::rotfl:

Morning all.
A handful of change went into the pot this morning, but I didnt count it!
Have been selling a few bits and bobs on fleabay, but effectively using paypal as a holding pot area, as may need the money to get a few bills paid next month if work does not pick up. However, if life takes a turn for the better then the fleabay sales money will go to the pot....it totals £42 at the moment, so here's hoping.
Off to parents to continue with painting of the garden fence. May as well use my free time constructively.SPC No:118:j (6) £468.74 (7)

I did start a diary at the beginning of the year saying how much I found each day as for most of jan and feb i found money every day sometimes as much as a pound! Then I stopped finding money although I have found 2 pound coins and 11p recently.Sealed pot challenge no5 member no1816!!0

Had to pop out and got 2 x £2 coins in change.
So potted £4 and over the half-way target. (whooohooo). :j
Still around 5 weeks to the official half-way mark, so well pleased.
I am now "over the hill", but hubby says I've been over for ages.
£252+ potted.
Next target is £300 by the end of May.

Wooohay! Great to see you back, mcjordi!
Not at all surprised you're still saving well.
Belated wishes for Nat-the-Rat's 11th Birthday, Lindylou! What a busy bee you weren't!!DreamerHelen wrote:Thank You Sue....I AM getting there...and I WILL have enough for Christmas this Year without having to borrow any....
What that be just great, Helen, and sets the way for the future too! :j
I hope you're feeling much better now, dinglefoot, a migraine maybe? I hope not, but possible. Take care.
Many congratulations, Chelle! :T That's wonderful news and gives you so much to look forward to - us too. Well worth the wait....and the practice sessions!
ONLY 3 and a half weeks, ETO?!!! That went quick - for me!! I bet you're getting so excited now...fed up too with that last month!charleybear_ wrote:we have rule; "its your money". When my partner says that to me I often don't buy the item as he says something more constructive if he thinks its worth the money when I ask him. Which is kind of a good thing as I save money and don't spend it on rubbish I don't need. Also he helps me with my savings tin, now and again he'll put some pennies in my tin sometimes without telling me. That's why I am finding it a little hard to pin point how much is in my savings tin.
What a very sensible pair you are, charleybear, it obviously works well for you both. Here's to saving lots!sparky0107 wrote:Sorry been AWOL, had some good news on the nasty neighbour front, only to have the rug pulled from beneath us by 1 police officer who has had the decision reversed, so we're back to square one again.
Sparky, I am so terribly saddened to hear that, and you were so delighted a couple of weeks ago. That bally copper wants to HAVE to live next door to them as you & J do!! He's one copper who deserves the title of p*g!! Love to you both and I do hope another one pulls the rug from under the other!
Good to see you, IMWT.
Fantastic news on you having hit the half-way target, Lynsey!!!!!! Great saving! :T
Oooh, 40% of the way through come tomorrow, eh, Ruth! I'll have to remember that....though I doubt that'll happen. You're doing so well now let's hope that this year you can stay on course. Atb.Have a lovely Sunday, everyone, enjoy it whatever you do. :grinheart
