Morning all. Welcome to the "newbies" and wishes to ALL.timesrunnigout wrote: »is it me or this year does there seem to be a definate lack of £2 coins around?
I think they are more scarce and they do help.
I used to get a few from Sainsbury's, but more £1 coins of late.
I only save £2, £1, 50p and 20p coins - helps counting.
No shopping for last few days, but found a 50p in bag and potted.
Hopefully get a few coins to pot later - only £12 needed to get to my half-way point. :j

had a quiet couple of days with sick children (again!!). Sat night saw DD1 sick 6 times and not once in the toilet !! DS2 sick 5 times and all in the toilet..hmmm age doesn't mean a thing when aiming:D. Anyway, both off school monday so had to drag to the shops with me and managed to pot £2 coin:jUnfortunately DD woke up around midnight throwing up and she's still going now (just bile for the last few hours). I'm home this morning and then DH is taking the rest of the week off to look after her. Three sick bugs in three months!!
 It just keeps going around and around in our school, not helped by the parents who don't keep their children off for the full 48 hours!
Another one with a DD throwing upgot woken up this morning to DS screaming up the stairs 'Muuuuuuuuuuum! Lilys being sick!' in true mum fashion the first words out of my mouth were . . . 'get to the loo!'
Im with you about other parents and the 48 hr rule, one of the children in DD's class threw up at school in the playground and was back at school the next day , I am still unsure how her mother got away with this as the teachers had to clean up after her so its not like they didnt know which child it was .
DD is now off till monday and has a party to go to on saturday evening, havent the heart to tell her if she throws up again she wont be able to go
DH is also not well, still with this migraine thing, not sure if they've got the same bug or if DH's is due to no sleep this last week and a change in medsbut im also feeling cac cos im not getting any sleep cos he's not getting any sleep, think there may be a bed change round tonight! DD in with me, DH in DS's double bed and DS in DD's bed so we can all sleep

Still no wallet....I don't like it!! So apart from my sandpit tidying find there's not been much potting but I was able to put another £405 in to the house fees savings. We've made appointments to see a financial advisor and our bank next week about mortgages. Definitely something to look forward to as had some sad family news on Monday.
Have some of these :T:T:T:T:T for the news on the house situation

Hi all. I know I don't post very often but I pot away and my pot is now over half full. I was having a bit of a low day today (since around 3.30pm yesterday
) but I popped on here and read some posts and now I feel a bit better
(Just to clarify, I would not do this but) sometimes I want to open my pot and count it to see how close I am to being able to afford to run away (just to clarify, I would run away right now) so I thought if I confessed the feeling it might deter me (from counting and running!) I still feel like running but now I would just take my pot with me, complete with unbroken seal)
Sorry for blethering nonsense :cool:Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
Mortgage today = £161,690.76

We say this every year, timesrunnigout, but we need to remember that it's our fault - we've got em all!!! :rotfl:
You try some weird things, Ruth, but if it works...stick with the babies! They all soon develop good muscles and losing puppy fat.
I'm chuffed to bits you confessed, GAP, I hope you've got it all off your mind now and will really feel better. I was off for several days with a very bad back and have to admit that when I came back, reading through the posts really uplifted me too. Keep reading, Gap, but never fleeing!Have a lovely evening and Thursday, folks, and keep on saving!!
