A wee handful of shrapnel added to the pot - still eyes tightly closed - really don't want to know how much is going in.

Slight change of plans! We're not going to New York now we're going to Butlin's Skegness! Do you still want to come? I can just imagine it now walking down the promenade in January with a bracing wind and a carton of fish & chips then pop into the pub for a quick pint! Sounds idyllic doesn't it?
Well, have done Butlins Minehead several times so I am sure Skegness will be a nice change. After my tropical (ha!) week in a tent in Cornwall last August (complete with bare foot on slug at 2am) then that's luxury. I have a personal mission to find the best fish & chips in the country so a new destination to discover will be good. Sparky, I live in Devon me, and it's always wet and raining here these days, so nothing fazes me weatherwise!! (By the way, have you not yet realised that all this means that we want your company, whether it's NYC or Skeggy)
Happy to report that the new supportive sports undergarment is very effective... the treadmill session this afternoon whilst Miss Eve was at swimming lesson was pain free in that department even if my legs are now wibbly wobbly jelly.Ooh, I am so looking forward to my bath later!
Back to business; 11p roadkill yesterday, whee! And 80p change from the veg shop this afternoon. Bang tidy
Welcome to the newbies, and big hugs to those in need.
Have a lovely evening, folks. Laters!SPC No. 104 (oh no I've lost my magic 2000!)

Potting £1.11 today11p change from a £5 note buying biros from Wilkos and a Quorn Burrito from Farmfood. And the £1 coin I found in the pocket of my work blazer, I don't even remember putting that there
When the lid is on my pot I officially can't get any more money in there!
Time to migrate the potting to the owly tins tomorrow (if I have something to pot tomorrow, that is) :T

I officially have no money in my purse now. Going to try not to replenish it for the next few days - so no potting but that's good if it means no spending! I'll just need to keep my eyes peeled for roadkill to potSPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0 -
Since march 3rd althought I started again around 4th of April as my dad kept taking money out of it and I kept spending the money so I brought myself a sealed tin and been dropping in change whenever I can.and i've learned to let go of some £1 so I can put them in the pot.SavingsRepayment: £0/£359.00

Erm, aren't you meant to be finding a way to cheer me up not make me feel worse lol!! Only joking, when we lived in Lincoln, Skegvegas was the nearest seaside to us.
I prefer my beach now, and we have Bognor Regis Butlins not that far from us.
Sparky if you want to find a good chippy, we have a fish and chip shop around the corner from us which is opposite the river, they do great fish (especially when it's freshly cooked which is normally most of the time). And another chippy about a mile away does amazing chips!!
Finished DH's tax return last night so now ready to go and see the mortgage peeps next week.
Unfortunately DD woke up around midnight throwing up and she's still going now (just bile for the last few hours). I'm home this morning and then DH is taking the rest of the week off to look after her. Three sick bugs in three months!! It just keeps going around and around in our school, not helped by the parents who don't keep their children off for the full 48 hours!
