ugh crimson you have put me right off that bear! hate overly perfumey smelling things (friend once gave me a lavendar stuffed pillow thing she had made, didnt have the heart to tell her it went straight in the bin as soon as she walked down the path as I was gagging from the smell!)
But yay for the car! we at JM towers believe any day the car doesnt jump out of gear is a good day :D

Im feeling a bit wobbly today  I have just spent £80!! of my birthday/christmas money (you know, that envelope ive been stuffing all present money in for about 2 years :rotfl:) on MYSELF! dont know what came over me! have got 4 lovely Dies coming for my Big Shot :o only took me 3 months to actually decide to buy them :rotfl: DH was laughing at me as I was literally sat with the laptop on the confirm page with the notes counted out beside me umming and ahhing and then all of a sudden it was a mad dash for my bank card before I could change my mind again :o

On a more MSE note, 5 x £2 coins in the £2 coin pot and a little bit of scrapnel in the big tub :j (oh and you could say the dies were MSE as well as they were all reduced, actually saved £86 on the RRP :o)

omg how rude am I? ty to those that wished me better, not so seaworthy today, room is staying where it should be, just got the low blood pressure rush when I stand up :)

DH on the other hand woke up with a headache which turned into a full blown migraine and he ended up throwing up before falling asleep for 4 hrs, he's now taken enough pain killers that we can actually have the light on but still cant handle loud noises, so drying DD's hair was a feat

I am considering going into town at the weekend and having a chat with the bank man. I am not very mse and like to stay with the same bank. I like that all my money is on one little app. Pop Quiz: Martin kept saying about checking your current rate, is there any way to tell what mine is? I'm guessing i'll have to go into the bank and ask. Question open to all :D

Not very MSE at all crimson :money:. You might be able to find out online if you know what your account's called - just google the bank and the name of the account - otherwise the bank will be able to tell you.

It's shockingly easy to change your bank account but I understand how daunting it can seem. I sorted mum & dad's accounts a few months ago. They wouldn't let me actually close the old accounts but set up new ones for each of them so they get some interest. It was a bit trickier because we weren't doing a straightforward transfer - that makes it even easier as the banks do all the work :rotfl: Good luck with it

On a potting note....11p potted today. I've been on an unsuccessful roadkill search today - better luck tomorrow :A

Re. earlier post... Ouch! I think my legs will be wibbly wobbly jelly tomorrow! Still, if I spend lots of time down at the gym/swimming pool then it keeps me from doing lots of other money-draining things or even spending it online and I should be thin as a stick if I keep it up so I am telling myself it is really very MSE and good for me too. :j (This is me getting fit he he)

    Anyone believe me?! :rotfl:

Oh, and in case anyone thinks I am being frivolous it is the local council gym not a posh skinny folk in lycra one so it's not very expensive (as long as I keep going lots to get my money's worth ;)) Can't be doing with the running outside in the cold lark, need to be warm while I torture myself...

And whoop, found 1p in the car park on the way out!!

PS. Sorry crimson-addict, got you and mishmogs confused on the bank account question. Probably need an eye test as well...

Night night one and all, I am taking my aching limbs to bed early tonight :)

Morning all. Been a bit quiet for a while - lots of work followed by holiday and now school holidays!! Not a quiet time for a mum of 4. I've still managed to keep potting though - managed £7 before the holidays. Found a £5 note in the camera case and so managed to pot that when we got home...

Am very proud that we had 6 days in the middle of Scotland and had managed to spend NOTHING having taken our food with us :T. Had a fantastic time walking and sailing in glorious weather. It soon changes when we get home though:rotfl:.

Sorry but i thought you should be warned lol. If they still have them go and get a wiff next time you get into town...yuck lol.

Day 2 and the car still is not showing its warning light. However, i found a cable that is attached at one end but not the other..... not sure what its for..... oops

I know what the interest rate was when i opened but i don't know if they've changed it or anything. If i'm doing my calculations right your monthly interest is worked out on your interest p/a divided by 12.... So last month i got approx 0.168% times 12 is about 2.01% If that's right then i'm not getting such a bad deal..... I'm still going in to see if they can offer me anything better anyway :)

Maths this early is not a good idea lol.
