Potted 50p today found some loose change in my partners drawer when i was sorting out woohooo Hoping to add lots more this week.

Hi everyone! Another 72p in the pottery piggy today. I had 22p change from the garden centre and DH volunteered another 50p -which of course I accepted:D So 72p total:j

My poor pot has not been fed over the weekend as I've had no coins...

But I have been thinking about what I would like to do with the money - as Im planning to do this every year from now on...(hope the threads will continue with me) I am going to save up to take my daughter to lapland when she is a bit older maybe 5 or 6... She is 4 months old at the moment- so plenty of time to save for this expensive dream. Each year I will put my savings in a bond to ensure I dont touch them then when she is old enough I will hopefully proudly be able to pay in full with cash for a dream holiday and been teaching my daughter important financial lessons- i.e to save for something she really wants.

Just felt the need for a quick deposit check-in ('tis addictive, this potting business); will catch up on everyone's posts later...

:j:j Nice shiny 2 pound coin in the cow pot, and 41p of my change from bread and Sunday paper for mum and 1.20 of DH's silver found lurking on the bedside table in the sealed pot! Not bad considering I am trying hard to have as many NSDs (or at least minimal spend days) as possible! :j:j

Evening all

Managed to pot £6.30 tonight I'd budgeted £5 for eldest sons new swimming shorts but his swimming teacher wanted an ecoegg, which I had spare in the cupboard so we did a trade and I potted the fiver
The rest was the change from the kids 'chippy dinner' on the way home from their swimming lessons as I CBA to cook!!!

No potting this evening, spent the evening making a 'The Tiger who came to tea' bingo board for my Year 2 maths group. Yeah, I know how to live!!

After spending all weekend taking DS 1 to various parties, I managed to pot £3.42. Some of it was change from going to ikea - I spent £3 for a pack of 3 heart shaped boxes to put some home made ginger truffles in for DH for valentines day. The rest was changing DD1's copper coins I to silver which I then potted. :T
