Just been tidying up my bedroom and found two 1p pieces lurking at the bottom of a shopping bag, so 2p for the pot!
I've been thinking long and hard, and I think I will save initially towards a summer break for hubby and me. Luckily, we like to stay local for our hols, perhaps adventuring into the next county :rotfl:so hopefully all these odd pennies and pounds will amount to enough!
After the summer break, I will then save towards christmas treats for hubby and me. (I budget separately for family gifts, and normally there has been no money left for hubby and me.)
Have a nice afternoon all.

I was telling her about my sealed christmas pot and she gave me a lockable money tin which I will use as a 'holding tin' and then pot once a week. She put some change in it to start me off, so with that and DS1 change from college I've just put £10 in my tin!!
Sorry to hear about your Mum's move, Happybeingme, but as you say, at least that means you get good holidays. Well done to her for also giving you an HPot and cash with it!!! :Tsparky0107 wrote: »Sue Checked the weather in Chicago minus 17 wind chill taking it to minus 26, really looking forward to getting to the top of the Sears tower & the John Hancock tower, I think it'll be a bit chillier up in the air. Hope T is on the mend, tell him J & I were asking after him.
Hello there, sparky! The way the weather's going here we might be matching you over there - snow too!Whatever it's like I know all too well that you and J will thoroughly enjoy it. Am I right in thinking you go next Thursday? T's done something to his back today - just walking upstairs!! The arm is taking a long time, but they warned it would so he has to grin and bear it.

Sorry to hear that, Helen, but even more reason now to get that holding pot going so you always have cash in it for times like that. Well done on your winnings!! :TPalema wrote:I have been continuing to add to my Sealed Pot from 2012 and now is pretty much the time to break it open and count it up. I have bagged up £196 the rest is going back into the pot to start again!
Wonderful news, Palema! You did so very well with that amount!!! :T I've now updated the Grand Total on my siggy which now makes for even better reading! All the very best with moving. Could I please ask you to pop the Total on SPC 5 which is here, it keeps all the Totals together and makes sure sparky sees it. Thanks a lot.
beccah wrote:Really feel for you Holly, my youngest came down with chicken pox on Thursday and I'm still finding new ones todayPoor little mites even got them inside his eyelids as well as everywhere else
Hope your little one isn't too poorly with it but bathing in bicarb of soda seems to relieve some of the itching if it gets too bad xx
Oh dear, beccah, you really do have your plate full at the moment. Bless your poor little lad, it sounds awful for him. If the bicarb doesn't work too well then try Calamine Lotion. Please give him a gentle cuddle for me.
A gentle cuddle for your little treasure too, Holly! Lets hope they both soon get to feel much better.
There's nothing wrong with a holiday close to home, peony, it's the break that counts.
Sorry folks, just a quickie after a mad day.
There's no such thing as a paltry 30p, haybel, be proud and happy with it.
Savings for our pot are £20 for the week.Have a really lovely evening and Tuesday, folks, keep safe, healthy, warm and......saving.

Thanks Sue-UU, feeling more positive about things today as had a chat with the SENCO at his nursery who seems really positive that measures can be put in place to help him when he starts school in September. Luckily its a linked school/nursery so wont be too much of an upheaval for him to deal with. He liked his 'gentle cuddles from the lady in Mummys computer!Sealed Pot Challenge #101
