    Debt-free and Proud!
    Morning everyone
20 X £2 coins off the pools man last night, potted into the New York 2014 spending fund pot, also £1.17 road change while walking to & from work yesterday. Then a little raid of DW's purse came up with another £2 coin plus some extra change for the sealed pot.

sue & LC2 This time 2 weeks today we'll be coming in to land at Chicago O'Hare airport for the start of our holiday, it's hard to think we booked it 11 months ago!

((HUGS)) to all who need them. A warm welcome to our newest members.

Have a great day everyone, stay safe & keep saving

Dumb question, but any of you (apart from coeliac DS) ever get tested for gallstones along with everything else?

You'd think with the increasing prevalence and also awareness of food allergies and intolerances there would be something that could be done to help. I do hope that things will improve for you all.

Your poor mum must be grey with all the worry of it when you descend for lunch! On a (flippantly) upbeat note, no chocolate must mean you're lovely and slim!!

Loool, she has a list on her fridge with all the allergies on it :D funnily my dad has just developed an allergy to peanuts! and he had gall stones before (DH just reminded me) We are the allergy family. The chocolate is I cant eat white or dark and my eldest sister cant eat milk or dark.
I've never thought about gall stones! I'll have a chat with middle sister (the Dr :j :D) and with my Dr too as anything is worth investigating, they have never been able to figure out whats wrong with me (other than the M.E) currently they are hinting at diabetes
Jakes-Mum...sorry to hear of all the troubles you are having with food....But something jumped out at me while I was reading - You say you can have Orange Juice and Strawberries...what about a Smoothie for Breakfast? They are very yummy and you can experiment with different fruits if you can have any other's....I used to have a Smoothie for Breakfast every day until I got lazy... :rotfl: But maybe give it a go?

Ahh I forgot the milk/cheese/cream problems :o, add them to my list, I can just about deal with a little bit in the bottom of cereal and a few cups of tea. Its fun being me :rotfl:

Jakes-mum I am another saying that if you haven't been tested for gall stones see if you can persuade your doc to send you in for it. A friend of mine has had food issues (intolerances, IBS symptoms etc) for years. It now turns out she has not gall stones but in her words a 'gall rockery'. She is currently looking forward to her operation!

Def going to look into the gall stones, ty ladies :D:D

Hi all. Not posted a while but still been adding to the sealed pot. My lovely 7 year old son has been putting putting coppers and spare change into his money box and asked if I would pay it into his savings account (nothing like getting him into the MSE way of thinking at an early age) I said I would count it up today and put the cash into my sealed pot and then transfer the money from my bank account into his savings which I've just done so that £3.15 added to the sealed pot :)

So I managed to pot 4 lovely £2 coins from my holding pot and some shrapnel :D Patrick the pot was sulking but he's happy now.:)

Aha! So, your H Pot came on handy, Rosy, good to know it was a reservoir - in case - but now you can pot it as need didn't arise!! :j
Good to hear you also are having an H Pot, Helen, it'll save any disappointments.

..then decided to teach ourselves to knit from her birthday present book... I quite took to it, personally, even if she did lose patience when she kept dropping her stitches!:D

Knitting's very therapeutic, Lindylou, crochet too and certainly comes in handy when you've poorly liddies as you can soon put it down when you're needed. I hope the littlies are soon well again.

You're doing so very well, kobrakai! Back on par. :)

Great saving in one got, catwoman!!!! :T
Haven't been potting unfortunately, money's been quite tight. Although I have a little bowl of money so I have change accessible when it is needed. But will perhaps pot from it weekly/ monthly.

Good to see you, ETO!! So, you're little bowl has become your H Pot, good for you. Best wishes for a better moth in February.

With reference to the Gall Stone chat, I've had them and you'll soon know it if you do as they're sooooooo very painful, believe me!!! My surgeon likened the pain to having a heartache, saying that "it's a pain that will never kill you, but at the time of suffering from it - you wish it would!!!! By heck, he just about summed it up!! I had both stones and Gall Bladder removed in 2008 and am blissfully pain-free!!! :j

jakes-mum, are you sure orange juice isn't upsetting your stomach with all the acid it has??

Weill done, elizabunny, though I'm still reeling at your trick from yesterday!! ;) Just joking re the quoted 'welcome' from Wyre's post to try to get your 2nd star. Naughty naughty! :naughty:

I've just seen your siggy, Lynsey, brilliant and by golly that was quick!!!!! :T

WOW!!! zebramolli, your siggy's reading well too, marvellous work!

Well it's Friday evening - woot! And hubby is off this weekend - double woot! And I have loads of job for him to do - triple woot! And I potted £2.62 - yay!

With regards to gall stones - Sue, I have seen my friend having an attack, it wasn't pleasant! Her consultant was the one that said that her symptoms previously were the 'early' signs, but as they are also symptoms of tons of other stuff too that was why noone put two and two together. The human body is waay too complex, this is why I would never make a doctor!

jakes-mum, are you sure orange juice isn't upsetting your stomach with all the acid it has??

Ive rung the docs and asked them to check if ive ever been tested for gallstones (i do get bouts of unexplained pain which can last a few minutes or half an hour, I always put it down to the M.E :o) and if I havent I will make an appointment to go see him as I havent been in for about 6 months anyway so prob a good idea to have an 'M.E' check :D

I rarely drink orange juice, only half a glass if we happen to have it in the fridge as again, too much of something . . . stupid body, doesnt know what it wants :o

On a more money saving related note, 2 x £2 coins in the tin and lots of lovely shrapnel in the big tub :D. H and I have been looking at new cars as ours 'bless her' is dying a very slow and painful death :( I shall be sad to see her go as she was a good girl, only started having problems these last 6 months and its just not cost effective to fix her as shes worth £1k on a really good day and prob needs £2k of work done. Soooo I have found my new car (which doesnt get released till end of may) and I need to make £700 a month to be able to buy her outright! . . . anyone want to buy a part worn husband? :rotfl:
