Hugs to those who are losing their jobs. Hope you find better ones soon.

Get well hugs to all our poorly people.

Pot getting hungry as there's been no coins around due to staying in and not spending.

  • Afternoon everyone
Two no spend days over the weekend, discovered I'm a terribly unsociable student. Emptied my purse of non-essential change (anything smaller than a 10p, cause the vending machines won't take them). And found a lucky penny on the way home from the estate agents.

Best of luck to all of you fellow job hunters.
  • I have not been potting much, found out last week i will lose my job in three weeks as, although there is plenty of people that want me to do work, noone is willing to pay :( my last day will be the day before my birthday unless i can get work from someone :( ah well.

I have however lost 5.5lb in the last 2 weeks so yay. I am trying to lose 1lb a week. Will be very easy if i can't afford to eat lol

Aw, crimson.addict so sorry to hear about the job loss :( but well done on the weight loss! :T I'm struggling to get motivated with mine as it's so cold... brrr (pulls on another jumper) hope a job turns up very soon for you.

Poor you beccah you need a <<HUG>> too. Get well soon.

Have just potted the last of the food budget... a tiny 17p Never mind the fridge is well stocked so it might stretch the whole week if we're careful :)

    Take care all x

  • Hi Claire, NSD's are good. You can become more sociable when the weather warms up :D Bad weather is a good excuse to stay in and save!

Oh pants, just caught up with thread. Big hugs to those that need them:grouphug:.

I went out on Saturday night and got slightly inebriated :p BUT cheekily sneaked my own wine into the theatre ;) so saved there and a friend drove us down saving on the taxi fare. So £5 popped in the pot, then another £3 today as I remembered to get my petty cash from 2 weeks ago !:D

Looking forward to February, really need to do some proper saving but the potting is keeping me going!:)

Me and a friend are having a weigh in once a month and whoever loses the least percentage has to pay a forfeit, we had a sneaky look to see where we were on saturday and she has put on a pound and i have lost 5.5. When she discovered this she changed the forfeit from something embarrassing to £5, not that i mind, into the pot it will go :) I'm afraid i cant take credit for my weight loss, my stomach seems to have decided it is smaller than it is, i had a cup of soup earlier and felt like i'd eaten a three course meal (and not one of the rubbish expensive ones where you have to grab a kebab on the way home) speaking of kebab, mum invited me for a chippy tonight so i will have some pennies to pot finally :D

  • Happy Monday, potters!

Summerdaze, do hope all comes right for you soon.

And sympathy to those facing job losses, it's such a bummer and I really hope something new turns up for you soon.

A miserly 76p today - 71p from raiding DH's pockets (he knows he doesn't stand a chance!) and 5p roadkill. Better than nowt...

Have a lovely evening all... here are some kisses for those who are in need of a hug (couldn't find one of those!)
