Both the daughter and I put some chane in the pot today, didn't count it first but should have been around the £3 mark. I have a separate school holidays pot and £5 has gone in that too. We'll empty that one in the Easter break!

Evening all, potted 6p yesterday from ... You guessed it... OH's wallet! Also found two very grubby 2ps in his work van this morning which was a nice start to the day! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend? The highlight of my day has been stripping normal wallpaper after weeks of wood chip!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Just 50p more added today, but 50p is 50p and adds to the pot.
I need cash out of the hole in the wall to use as all notes are nearly gone now and quite a bit of the change in the pot.

    No snow ............................. yet.

Spent £3.48 in MrA today. Didn't go in for food but there were a couple of things on my shopping list for Monday that were on offer so it made sense to buy them while I was in there. ;)

Ha ha, put that in the wrong thread!! :o Have 3 £2 coins in my purse but don't think I'm going to get to pot them, but I do have 50p that I can pot!! :D

More change in the pot, didn't count it again :o am thinking about popping all the money I get from the kids when they visit my shop for their chocolate fix  don't really need the money as I usually just get them out of the grocery budget anyway

Might be a bit scarce for a while now as my partners son is getting married in Russian in April so all my spare money is going into my Russia fund at the moment. She is a lovely girl and it will be a pleasure to be there at their wedding, however expensive it turns out to be :eek:x

That's a wonderful comment about her, Nessa, I hope you all have a really lovely time. How about putting any change you get into a 'holding pot' see 1st post if you're unsure, that way you'll at least have some by.

That's a really good sum, Kerry, excellent!!
I've not potted much recently - the bad thing about having no spend days is no cash in my purse to divert to the pot!! Had to get some money out a couple of days ago though so have dropped a few pound coins in :)

You too ought to be using a 'holding pot', mildredalien, (see page 1st post on page 1 for details) it's much more helpful.

Hi Palema, nice to see you in with a lovely sum to pot.

Oh Janey, you poor thing, I've got to admit I detest that as it's so hard to budge! Still, you're battling on and I do admire you both.

No, Lynsey, no snow and unless you're in Scotland or the north east then you'll probably not see any. I know, tis very sad, I love it too...but our turn will come! :j

A long time waiting for it, but a whole £15. 34 has just gone in the pot from shopping!!!
Have a lovely Sunday, all and...keep warm!!!! :j

  • Hey everyone,

No potting this week from me, but OH has put about £5 in from his trips to Tes*o and such, as I'm still in bed with very bad headaches :( (Stupid cupboards and mirrors!!) off to the doctors on monday after a counseling session, getting the bus too both so should have lots of pennies for the pot :)

And I emptied the "holding pot" into the stainless steel cylinder and got £39 out of it..i was most shocked!!

Happy saving everybody!! Hello Newbies :D

Morning Everyone....And how are we all on this fine COLD day!! :)

Well, I haven't quite gotten to £50 yet...but I'm pretty darn close....But I couldn't put in a tenner as that would leave me with virtually nothing for the rest of the Week....and I still have some more Shopping to do for Food....So I've left myself £20 to do Shopping (I have lots of stuff in my cupboards so shouldn't need much)....

And then I'm putting £7.06 into the Pot...!!!! :T

    Which makes a GRAND TOTAL of.....*Drum Roll Please*.....£47.44!!!!! :D:D:D

I'm so pleased....As I've said before this is the first time I've managed to save something and not spend it....and you Guys are really helping by keeping me honest....Believe me, the amount of times I've thought "I'll just take it all down the Bank and then spend it" and then thought "But that means I can't join in the Sealed Pot Thread anymore"...So thank you everyone...

Soooooo not far to go until the big FIVE-OH... ;)

Hope you all have a WONDERFUL Sunday....

Went out for a meal with my friend last night, and I said whatever change I came back with would go into the pot - £13.26 :j :j. Its starting to feel nice and heavy now.
