  • Happy 2013 everyone. Back from Germany and back at work ....... arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Will be adding my shrapnel as and when I can. January will be a slow month. I have, however, added £50 to the pot as DD3 and I had our hair cut by my son-in-law's mum in Germany who saved us at least that.

    All the best,

find a penny pick it up...

Finally found some road kill, okay it was only a penny but very exciting nonetheless. Will have to go elsewhere though as my pig is only for gold and silver as it'd get full up with pennies too quickly as my son is always leaving them around the house :D

Well done to everyone on their potting so far - makes me kind of wish I was counting too!

Only Just got my CV finished after three weeks of working on it (did anyone else have trouble doing theirs? ) So going to be sending them out today (spent £7.20!! for 12 first class stamps  that adds £3.80 to pot :D) Then came home for OH to hand me !!!5!!! books of stamps!!! half empty but stamps all the same!

How are we all today? Happy, sad? Here to talk :)

Mum's just phoned me informing me that we're going to have to send 4 drakes to the slaughter..(or get someone from the farm next door to do it half the price) so anyone want a duck for Easter?:rotfl:

£3.32 added to the pot this morning.

OK so supposedly women's insurance went up by about £300 in December, I'm sure you all know this. However, yesterday I got a quote on a comparison site for new insurance as a guide to see how much i would need to save roughly for April. My quote was for just over £700 a year (cheapest) which is £500 less than i paid last year....... If this is correct, that's a huge weight off my shoulders. Luckily, I pay yearly as that £700 turns into £1,210 when paid monthly...

Come April I also have to tax and MOT my car and it needs a full service :( The joys of owning a car...

Anyway, enough of that. Hello new potters welcome to the thread :)

My insurance went down this year as well (from about £500 to about £300). I wonder whether I am in a different age bracket now...

I'm still the same age and only started driving 9 months ago so it can't be that for me

  • Been told by mother that i can clear the loft out in the old house for the new renters to come in and put it all on Ebay once she's looked through it all (She's still got art work and things nan gave to her when she died up there) and i can have half of what i get for everything!! :D

Is that allowed in the pot? Well earned money towards my first ever trip to France? :D
