oh forgot to add that Ds has decided he's going to save £2 coins aswell  :rotfl: and started his 'pot' with 10 x £2 coins he changed up at the post office with £20 of his christmas money :rotfl: i've said he has to try and fill his little ceramic ladybird and any £2 that go in cannot be removed until end november ;) we'll see if he can manage it, personally I think he'll be emptying it by the end of january but he may prove me wrong ;)

On the bright side, if he does crack, i've got a shed load of £2 coins coming my way :D

Thanks so much for adding me to this. I became debt free last week :) after a hard 6 year slog to clear everything and would like to get some savings behind me. I am due to have my second baby in 7 weeks so thought this challenge would be ideal for me xx

Wow that's a great total!! :T Excited for next year when my pennies will be included in the final total for SPC6!!

Well done Sue and Sparky, you're legends!! :T

Thank you for the :staradmin Sue! :happyhear

Welcome Cookiecat :hello: Sue will be along to give you a number soon. If you have a target in mind then you can post it and Sue will add that to the list with your number but if you don't have a target that's fine too and if you think of one at a later date just post it on here so that it can be added. Some people keep track of how much they have potted as they go along and some people mention it on here and then forget about it and wait for the surprise at the end of the challenge! ;)

Talking of potting, potted another 3p change from Waitrose this evening. Hopefully except for any roadkill I come across that should be it until I go shopping next week.....we will see. ;)

Congratulations on having become debt-free, Nickyj!!!!! :T:T That took a lot of hard work and keeping well-disciplined, but you did it and it's terrific!!!!
Many congratulation too on being just 7 weeks away from being a Mum!!!! You have sooooo much to look forward to now, Nicky, revel in it...and please keep us in touch with your little treasure's birth...first day at school...first job etc!!! :rotfl: The last bit was a bit premature THIS soon, but we love to hear about little darlings, their Mums too! :A We've at least 2 expectant Mums (ETO) so far and 1 expectant Grandmother (Susanne) who's DD expects twins!!! :j:j

Thanks a lot for a lovely welcome, mossy, but too soon for another star. Don't worry, I know you wouldn't have thought of it; it is lovely to see folk giving their best though. :) What a terrific amount eh!!!

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but so far it seems to go up by roughly £5000 each year, I wonder what this year will bring us.
