Can I join? £6.27 womble added to the new tin

Forgive me, savingbabs, but you've added a £6.27 womble to your tin??!

You've done well with the scratch card too, Saver88!

I'm so pleased you're feeling better, sexyshark, though that's 2 people I've heard of who've lost a stone!

Played some party games with the family last night and between myself and OH we won 3 scratchcards. Each one won £1 and OH says I can have them for the pot :j That's me cashing them in ASAP then before he changes his mind :D

Good for you, curly!! Though they're definitely yours...after all the spoken word is everything....especially in our house! :rotfl:

AmeliaDebtFreelia, that's the sort of potting which really makes sense, very wise indeed. A really beautiful pot to tempt you to save as much as possible, I love it...and that you're NOT going to break it! :j

Hi ThunderCat, I've updated your Target to £600 as requested.

Of course you can join, gardenia82! A very warm welcome to you. biggrin.gif Have fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.

It certainly is fun here, gardenia, it's also a great thread for motivation as well as inspiration on ways to budget and save. ie. if you buy coffee when you're out, think about having one when you get home and potting what the cost out would have been. If you use public transport, but can walk, then do so and pot your savings.

If those don't apply to you then it might help you think of things that do. Page 1 will help.

All best wishes for turning your finances around :)

  • Evening all. We started to clear up the Christmas clutter this afternoon, and found an old tin in the bottom of a cupboard, (no we didn't put tinsel in the cupboard :)), and DW asked me to sort through it. This resulted in 41p in odds, that are now in my cottage pot.

This is getting addictive. When out with dog now, find myself scanning the pavement!! Nothing found on paths yet, must all be on here, or have very good pockets :rotfl:

Well done to everyone. Getting some good ideas, thank you.:T

Happy New Year SP pals!! :D

Had a £2 coin which I managed to keep hostage until we got back from The Shire and have potted it! Also had 2 x £2 coins change from the other day while visiting peeps, potted one of those and kept the other one safe in case I needed it for car parking etc but didn't use it so have potted that one too!! Go me!! :snow_grin

As I said on the GC thread haven't had chance to catch up on the threads properly since getting back so hugs to those who need them and well dones to those who deserve them (isn't that all of us!!). :D

  • Helloooo everyone! Happy New Year!

Well, I was a bit of a party pooper last night and went to bed at 10.30pm 'cos there was nothing on the TV and we had no money left for the pub :o OH decided to come to bed too and snored like a pig until well after the fireworks ended. I got up for a drink of water at 1.05am and could still hear the snores through the kitchen wall! I must have finally got to sleep around 2am

DD and the family came to visit this afternoon and we had a lovely day. An NSD for me so I potted a lovely, lonely £2 coin from my purse in the holiday fund. It's no longer lonely! And it's PAYDAY TOMORROW! :T solvent once more....:D
    Night night all x
