    Does my supermarket really work?

If I put in Asda, then asda are cheaper, put in tesco then tesco are cheaper!

Have `looked` at both baskets and if I put smart price squash in it compares it with tescos own!

Used to go to lidl but found it so expensive now.

Going to go to morrisons this week with coupon in the sun. Seen that tesco will take them, but will asda?

    Hi,

I went with my mother to a market in Wellington, where they seem to be doing alot of business within the market. I've always been sceptical going to a market to purchase goods as you don't know the condtion there in.

But i found out that this market in Wellington has a returns policy, if your not happy with the goods you purchase. (if you find faults) then you can return the items and get a refund.

Also My mother wants to keep going to the market as it seem to be alot cheaper then shopping at a supermarket, Wellington are promoting themselevs as being 10% cheaper than leading supermarkets.

To be honest i was very impressed by the returns policy as i know alot of markets wouldn't offer this, (well they might i havent been to a market for ages) i think with the economy the way it is i will be going to alot more markets which offer a returns policy.

I think the company who owns Wellington market offer a returns policy within all there operated markets in the Uk - i think the company which offers a returns policy in there markets are called town and country markets, i think they've got a website- it might be worth having a look at a market , and start doing your weekly shopping there as i know i'm more keen to go now.

I hope this help people save money

Shopping online is very convenient. There are so many supermarkets that sell their products online. You just have to look for the store that offers discount and lower price.

I agree, I am eating about 4000 kcals a day and I order from Tesco's Online about once a month, so far I have been able to get £10 off my shopping each time.
    Buy for value not cost.

Individual cans of coke have gone up 6p in Sainsbury's. They used to 49p and now there's a big sign saying 'Price Check. Tesco's 55p' - Thanks for putting it up 6p! I bought a 6 pack for £2 (33p per can).

This article is useful for me and its really very informative. I need this article for analysis and all reports.
  • Very interesting article. I like the idea of downshifting and testing the products before you make a switch. We all get into the habit of buying the same brands on our weekly shop, unless something triggers a change in us. I like to compare brands ever so often, just to re-evaluate that my reasons for selecting a particular brand is still good value for money.
