Great to see everyone doing well! :).

I just realised that I have been working out the amount that I've saved incorrectly, and that I actually had £700 more savings in the year than I thought. A rather foolish mistake, but a very pleasing one :D. Added to the £688.17 that I have saved so far this month, that brings my total for the year to £5079, so I have achieved my £5000 target. :j.

OK, I've been paid early so I'm declaring for the year.

I managed to save £1,030 in December, so that brings my yearly total to £11,927 - and my overall savings total to £74,127.

    I'm disappointed that I didn't save the full £12,000, but hey - I did ok! :)

Good luck to everyone who still has to update, let's get over the £900,000 mark!

    Merry Christmas and here's to a super-saving 2014.

Your savings total is truly inspirational :money::T:T. Fantastic big well done to you!

Hi All, I have put some more cash into my emergency find savings. I am just learning to spread this over various accounts to maximise interest so there will be some movement in the next week or two. My new total is £10,047.

There will be more added to this before the end of the year so I will finalise my total just before the New Year.

I can't wait to get started on the 2014 savings:D.

Haven't posted on here for a while but keeping the money saving up. At the end of the month I will have saved a grand total of £8647.00 (target £10,000). Chuffed to bits, if I didn't have to replace my car earlier in the year I would have achieved my target.

Will be having another go next year but hoping to purchase my first house so will be a struggle.

    We've broken the £900,000 barrier!

    How amazing :j :j :j :j

    WELL DONE EVERYONE!

Would it be really really optimistic to hope that we could somehow break the £1mil mark?

    Probably :o

Early payday tomorrow so can close down the total for 2013 early. £462.65 saved in December, taking the year's total to £5,520 and total savings to £9,065. I don't think I would have done quite as well without the support of this thread! Well done everyone and looking forward to taking up the same challenge for 2014 :)

£1000 for December, taking me to £16910 for the year! :j:j:j

Smashed my first target (12k), fell just short of my second (17k) but feel ever so pleased with myself :D

Well done to everyone who has saved over the year - large or small, whether or not you've hit your target - the important thing is to be saving something
Special thanks to slowly fading for all the hard work this year and last.

I have arrived at my goal of £15,000 for the year(was infact £350 over but didn't put it to savings, spent it on new clothes :D) delighted with that, absolute buzzing when I see how it mounted up month to month, now to save £20k next year to become debt free and pay another £8k off the mortgage!! Well done everyone, have a fantastic festive season.
