That's because it's not important what bits of crappy emblem they have on their junk mail; you are talking them far too seriously. Roxburghe have been an AOS member for years. Ignore them - but if your incident was within the last year you should have appealed the fake PCN when you had the chance. You would never have got this junk mail and you would have won at POPLA if you had researched it on new current threads here on page one/two of the forum. Next time!PRIVATE 'PCN'? Hi all. I too have a ticket from robin hood airport, my situation is slightly different in that I appealed that the charges were unfair and were not appropriate to the actual losses incurred by the landowners etc etc. Looking back I should have just ignored them from the start but its done now. Is it right to still ignore them or do I need to pay now that they know who iam? Also my argumemt is that on the original invoice it states the parking company 'aim' to make a decision on my appeal in 14 days, if they cannot reach this decision in this time they 'will' write to me to state that they cannot reach a decision. 14 days came and went and on the 28th day I got rejection letter. How do I stand, clearly they took longer to decide than their aimed 14 days but they certainly did not contact me within the 14 days telling me they cannot reach a decision straight away which in their invoice it states that they will do.
Shall I pay now they have identified me or do I have a point to argue my case if it ever goes any further that they did not follow there own terms.
Thanks everyone.0 -

Welcome to MSE!
You did it right to appeal nowadays - and so did they in terms of replying within 35 days (not 14). I have no idea why on earth you reckon you want to PAY them or IGNORE it, when surely now you have that 'golden ticket' of the POPLA code?!
POPLA is where you can win this if only you just read other more relevant threads, this one IS NOT RELEVANT TO YOU as it's from 2012 and talks about ignoring debt collectors which is NOT the case when you appeal nowadays!!!
Please just read current threads, not this one. Read about POPLA. Don't know what POPLA is? Haven't read any current threads yet!

Many thanks for replying. It does actually state on the invoice theat they aim to make a decision in 14 days-their actual wording, it makes no mention of 35 days. It also catagorically states that they will write to me within 14 days if no decision has been made, which they did not.these words and timescales are all off their invoice that they sent me. In the rejection letter they did send me a POPLA pack explaining how to appel but im sure there was no code and it also says if I want to appeal to POPLA it will cost me 27 pounds. On the POLPA webzite it says to only claim if you basically got a ticket when you should not have, my argument is the above guidelines they have not followed and also the fact that the charges are too high considering I only pulled over on the approach roads to let someone jump out so thus not causing any loss of earnings to the landowner by actually going into the car park itself and taking up a space. I have been out of the country for several weeks since I got my rejection letter so god knows what they have sent me by now.0

Forget what "you think". It doesn't matter a fig.
Sorry to be so harsh, but you want to get off, don't you?
So, they have the 35 days to contact you. Fact
We need the EXACT wording about POPLA costing you £27 as that is wrong and could get them in serious trouble, so come back with the precise words they used.
Look for a hidden 10 digit code somewhere on the letter - it could be called Reference number or similar.
If you are sure it isn't there, write back and ask for it. Quickly!0 -
I'm totally confused with this thread.
There are now FOUR separate cases running on here 'assus18', 'brandlib', 'joshnatlyd' and now 'carsmarco252'
And the thread is almost 12 months old. Whilst my confusion is not a problem, it could be for any of the posters facing charges.
Anyone else with a Robin Hood PCN wanting to come and join the chaos? :rotfl:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Please start a new thread but what we have said is correct and you WILL win at POPLA. You really need to click off this ancient thread as I advised how to do at first, above, and read CURRENT threads about POPLA and appeals generally.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi all, I recently went to pick up a family member from Robin hood airport in the early hours. It was dark and I pulled behind another car in a small lay-by about 100yrds from the entrance (think it was a bus stop when I looked afterwards). I wasn't parked there 1 minute before another vehicle pulled up behind me. It stayed there about 5 minutes with lights on before pulling out and away. It was then I noticed the vehicle was indeed a video surveillance van.
Worried, I got out of the car to look at the road markings that showed double lines upto the lay-by then a solid line inside the lay-by. It was then I also noticed a small sign (possibly 18" 24" square) in the lay-by suggesting no stopping private land and £100 fines. These signs are also every 20yrds, but unless you get up close to them they cannot be read whilst in the drivers seat of a car and certainly not in the dark. It almost feels like entrapment!
I don't understand why the van spent 5 minutes directly behind me, was there a reason? PLUS noticed a string of other vehicles parked directly in front of the gates that the surveillance van appeared to ignore as he veered off the roundabout in the opposite direction.0 -
