Parking Charge notice Robin Hood Airport

Hi

I've just got letter from Vehicle Control, I have to pay 60 pounds for "stopping on a roadway where stopping is prohibited" it was not far from Robin Hood Airport on a side, closed road. picture is from Mobile Traffic Enforcement Camera (CCTV). I can see registration number on it, but nothing else, no driver, no lines on road, no signs, nothing on picture what is proof that is a restricted area.

It says as well " for contraventions on or after 1st october 2012 we do have the right to recovery from the Registred Keeper of the vehicle"

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Given it mentions the 1st Oct it suggests it's a private "ticket". Who does it say to pay ?

If it's a private ticket then just ignore them. You'll get ever increasingly threatening letters suggesting they can take your children, dog and virginity but they do go away when they get no response.

sounds like Vehicle Control Services or Flashpark, both are aOS members.

Just ignore them, they have similarities to Robin Hood though, they rob off people like highway men , the difference is that they keep the money themselves.

I have 28 days to pay that fine, after 14 days will be 100 pounds

what can they do to me in that situation?

It's NOT a fine, they have no statuary powers to issue fines or penalties, so it's just an invoice that can be ignored like a Nigerian scam email requesting details of your bank account, would you give them that ? If you wait a little while it will go to a 100% discount

stop panicking, its not a FINE,it is however a FAKE ticket/invoice,they are scammers of the first degree,so its not real, nothing can/will happen to you as a result, but they will keep trying to see if ur daft enough to cough up your hard earned cash to a scam,,,the real ticket is called a PENALTY charge notice,you dont have that,, you have a PARKING charge notice=scam/fake/con/etc etc, so chill out, feet up relax,glass of wine, jobs a belter then.

There are a couple of other threads about this particular airport and VCS. In one case somebody just stopped to post a letter, and in another one the motorist just pulled up because had floor mat had moved. it just shows the mentality of the people in this PPC.
