Any account will not be closed for a long time after existing transactions have been finalised. In addition, opening a new account to get round restrictions of any type - presumably including new seller/designer clothes restrictions - is also a bannable offence.

If you know what you are doing wrong and want to make an effort to improve then it's much better to stick with the original account and work to get restrictions lifted than bounce between accounts just accumulating problems on all of them. It probably demonstrates to eBay that you are more consistent in these efforts and thus gives you a higher probability of restrictions being lifted, particularly given that they seem to be more pro-active in monitoring accounts these days.

  • I'm really upset! I am not a bad person and would never sell anything I wouldn't be happy to get myself!
People have been horrible to me via ebay! I have worked so hard to maintain my account but some people are malicious and pathetic!
I'm a stay at home Mummy and this was my way of puting petrol in the car and taking my little boy out for days etc.
I opened another account after my first was suspended simply because I thought it would be ok to do so. I admit I didn't read the t & c's! Patience is not a strong point of mine!
Any help getting round this would be appreciated! x

  • TBH Lydia, I think you're flogging a dead horse here. It's very unlikely, even if you beg / grovel as some people have suggested, that ebay will let you sell with them again. Try and forget about ebay and focus on selling on Facebook selling pages or perhaps Preloved etc... Good luck.
I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:
  • I'm so upset I just want to cry!
Ebay just want the big power sellers!
    I'm gutted!

  • I am developing a real loathing for eBay. Try Facebook x
  • I've had really good sales on Facebook.
  • They are able to recognise the identity of the PC and associate it with another eBay account.

They must have linked it to the other banned account that way.

Interesting. How exactly do they do this?

    Mmmmm cookies.

Ive tried looking how to sell on facebook - but i can't find it anywhere?

Crowqueen - ebay only give you 3 months - not a year to improve. And most people don't even know they have 3 months.

Today a buyer emailed moaning about a parcel they bought on the 22nd. Despite living in NI, they chose a courier - estimated delivery 2nd /4th dec. I posted SAME DAY!! They could have paid extra for 1st class,

Today i get crap about did i really send them - despite providing them with tracking on the day i posted. Tracking shows one attempt at delivery already. Apparantely its my fault they didnt call when they were in.

So i may get a low star for posting same day via the method chosen. No doudbt Crowqueen thinks i should be banned.

Many low volume private sellers do not realise that e-bay has now changed from its original concepts. E-bay now demand the very highest professional behaviour from all sellers, private and Business.

Gone are the days when a seller could fit in posting between the school run, shopping, days away, or whenever they felt like it. Posting within 24 hours of payment is fast becoming the standard for all sellers.

Sadly, there is very little room for a laid back attitude that puts selling on e-bay at the bottom of a list of things to do.

There is still room for the very small, part time private seller, but they are now required to trade in the same way as all other sellers. i.e fast dispatch, low or free postage , accurate descriptions, and fast communications.
