Yep wanting a house makes you all of those things...
Who are the ageist ones, the ones asking for houses, or the ones who built houses on green fields for themselves but then say the young aren't aloud to do what they did?Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

I once didn't own a house also. It just never dawned on me I should have blamed the older generations for that. We just got on with things, saved like mad and got that one bed terraced eventually.
Maybe I'm old fashioned.0 -

They'll be thrown scraps through Shared-ownership, local authority deposit guarantees, NewBuy etc. Those that don't take the scraps and rent are currently politically irrelevant.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I did the same, but it doesn't mean I want the ladder pulling up after me, there needs to be more houses built, its a simple fact.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

I was 28 when we purchased, anyway...
I have said all along its not impossible and do regularly challenge the mortgage rationing comments as we managed it with a 10% deposit.
But I still stand by the fact that things can't carry on the way they are, we can't keep the population rising without building housing for them.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Thanks for proving the point that it's not impossible for the young to purchase their own place.
Are you just naturally ornery, or breathtakingly stupid?
There is a housing shortage now, there didn't used to be. People who bought when there wasn't a shortage found it easier to get a house than people who came along after there was a shortage.0 -

There has always been a housing shortage. I don't dispute it is getting more acute and the prices in the SE are getting stupid. The overwhelming majority of people have always had to save deposits and start small or rent."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop...
