Just to further complicate matters .... some of those initial 57 views might have been non members who therefore couldn't thank, or people who were at work & just browsing without signing in but planned on signing in later

Personally speaking, I've only just looked at this thread out of curiosity, I am already a member of surveys.com, therefore I'm going to act as though I was dragged up & not say thanks (Didn't receive an invitation to the survey question either).

I can see both sides on this - yes "demanding" is a bit much

You are right - whining would have been much more appropriate

I saw this thread a few minutes after the 2nd post and as soon as i saw that post i knew the comments that would follow!

To be honest tho I completely agree that it is a bit much to ask for thanks. I always hit thanks when i've found something useful or use a link from a post but not when i'm just viewing. I appreciate everybody who posts and try to return the favour with comps and bargains when i find them but I dont expect thanks although its always nice to recieve it! :D

Personally, and i know its cheesy, but i like the idea that i may be helping someone. :A

Just to add to this, there's always the fact that there's SOME folk (like ME!) out there who may not realise that the using of the thanks button is JUST a click. What I mea n is, I never used to use the thanks as I assumed that it would involve writing a message and messing about, then last week I found something REALLY useful to me, so was inspired to click and discovered, HEY!! THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE TO DO!!!

Now, I admit I'm a lazy cow, but I can't be the ONLY person on here that's not read everything so didn't know about the thanks button!

    OK, I'll stop waffling...

    Be well, folks

thanks for this I didn't know it was just the click of a button away.
I will be trying it for the first time on your post .
I will not be thanking the OP though as I do not wish to use the link , as I do not have that much spare time , what with running a Freecycle group , working and looking after my family . Incidentally all the people involved in freecycle do not ask for thanks , for the hours they put in moderating groups and organising publicity for the free service they provide ! This is because We do not need thanks(although it is appreciated when it is given freely and not coerced), the giving of ones time or items is all part of the process of growing as a person , and learning to delight in the act of giving and letting go of ownership.

So how does £30+£20 add up to £70 anyway?

There is also this amount: "you have the option to write a blog for 2 months. Spend an hour a week doing it and you get £5 a week, up to a maximum of 2 months" :)

irrespective of agreeing or diagreeing, or the validity of the point(s) made, I think it is a useful and encouraging sign that Mrs Yorkie has stimulated a healthy debate.

You are all perfectly ok to disagree, it doesn't mean anyone is right or wrong, but the fact that we can have such a debate means this site is certainly devloping into a community that listens and respects each other.

I MUST apologise however for getting all philosphical and (semi) deep...i don't know what has come over me today..

it's not a guarenteed £70 then? You have to be in their target group?

I am fed up with filling it screeners that take 20 mins and then getting nothing as a result, I must be the least desirable consumer in the world (well I am posting on MSE :))

It's like doing a full on Test & Vote survey but getting no points at the end.

    is this the case here?
