1 Day to go till DDD.....
Cooked a huge batch of chilli con carne last night - my first ever and it was really nice. 5 portions left and even bought one to work for lunch.
Paid my share of the rent and bills into the utilities account. Which leaves me around £500 after direct debits. Get paid again on 21/12/12.0 -
Well payday today, but won't touch it to make NSD 24. Tomorrow I'll start DDD with a spend day, boohiss. But I need to buy food at some point and didn't want to ruin missing my NOvember target by more than one day. Plus on a Sat I have time to go round the different shops depending on where it's cheapest. Will also get some last stocking fillers (well planned and budgeted, no impulse buys).
My ebay buyers started to receive their parcels and hopefully that should release my funds soon to be thrown at the CC.
And I think I give real envelopes a try too instead of virtual ones as that might help me not to spend. If I take money out today and tomorrow it should cover it.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Hi Kat,
Thought I would pop back and introduce myself properly. We are a family of me, hubby, 6 y.o son and 3 cats, one of whom has just moved in about 3 weeks ago!
I am not currently in debt but I have been in the past and am aware that I am overspending each month and need to stop and get my act together. I work part time and also do Avon. I get Work and child tax credit and child benefit. Hubby is a full time student. We keep our finances separately and he pays me board and buys some treats. I have a mortgage and I deal with all the bills, shopping etc. My wages go into one account which currently just covers my direct debits as I am doing some overtime until Easter. My plan is to use the tax credits, child benefit and board for food, fuel, hair, clothes, Xmas, birthdays, car expenses, vets etc. I bank online and have virtual envelopes which I will use better than I have been. My Avon profit will be kept separate and I will stop spending it on things for me! It is to tempting, all those bargains! The toiletries £5 limit will help me here big time.
I am budgeting 60 food and groceries (including cat food and litter), i usually spend about 80, and I am budgeting 40 for fuel per week. I spend about 35 just getting to work and my mums and back and will have a few extra journeys at christmas. Anyway, I am just multiplying this all by 4, so that's £400 for the month. I get 5% off at morrisons through a scheme at work so will get £400 in vouchers for the month for £380Looking forward to seeing what I can make from the stuff lurking in my cupboards! Food shop planned tomorrow but will only buy essentials. Cat food, milk, bread, fruit and mushrooms!
I have money set aside for hair app and remaining Xmas presses and will budget for meals out, socials etc (I have a few planned) and make sure my income covers it or cut them back. I am going to draw out the right amount of spending money each week and try and stick to it.
Right off to find a planner and mark on my spend days and amounts. Also off to join the nsd challenge board:)
Thanks Kat I am really looking forward to this - I must be crazy :rotfl:'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'0 -
Oh my goodness this is getting excitinggggggggg

Well got paid today so will go to the bank tomorrow and withdraw money to put in my envelopes. It should be a NSD as well but as they occur I will update my signature. I have £80 for rest of Xmas pressies and £20 for Xmas food, everybody is coming to me for the DAY but we are all putting £20 in to buy the Xmas food and drink so it should be ample hopefully there will be some leftovers for me:rotfl:
Getting really excited about all this and it would be so good to achieve it - I reckon I will struggle with the excerise the most:rotfl: followed by keeping within the food budgets
