December Debt Destruction!!!

-
Greetings DDDers
How was your debt busting today?
I did a Mystery Shop and bagged £10 of stuff as part of the fee, and it was all stuff I would buy anyway...happy days!
I bought a lunch at work, but it is subsidised and at £1.60 I really don't think I could have prepared it myself for any less (tuna, cottage cheese, egg, salad).
Tonight I am trying to get on with some work....but failing so far!...never mind. Maybe an early night instead.0 -

If i hadnt been an idiot i would have paid it off this year, so i am determined it will not ruin more than 1 month of the next year.IF YOU THINK YOU ARE SO CLEVER, THEN WHY ARE'NT YOU RICH?

Are you talking about Approved Food? Their customer service is very good so hopefully they can resolve the issue for you.
I've just bought Heinz Tomato soup......concentrated, so a tin gives 9 portions and the tin costs 60p...a bargain! Its worth checking regularly on their website I've had some great bargains, be careful though, it can become addictive.......I still have a drawer full of cous cous!0 -

Hi
I have been lurking, but have joined in the hope of joining in January. I have around £10k worth of debt and the snowball calculator says it will be clear in Feb 2014. I would like to move this to Dec 2013 if at all possible.
I hope it is OK if I stick around to join you all in Jan?SPC9 #125 - £816.85

Hi everyone,
You all seem to be doing much better than me. I'm not doing v well on the NSDs. The past few days have been spend days - some budgeted for some not.
Had work's Christmas Do on Friday night. Had paid for it in advance but did have a couple of G & Ts, plus bought a friend a drink. Everybody was really lovely and said that I looked really good in my TK maxx silver dress. I did succumb to buying new shoes, sorry Kat, don't berate me too much. They were relatively cheap from Debs at £19. So don't feel like I've done very well this month, as Christmas and socialising has got in the way.
On the plus side I did add another £6 to my secret sock fund and went to see 'Life of Pi', for free this morning. It was amazing! It should be Oscar nominated - such a moving film. Have got free tickets to see Dustin Hoffman's latest, 'Quartet', on Tuesday plus I'm going to see the 'Nutcracker' at Leeds Grand later in the week.
Have got an interview tomorrow for a temporary promotion so wish me luck. Over and out for another week. Good luck everyone in the last week before Christmas!0 -
Well check out the newbies popping up... you both CitizenKitten and 32B3in2013 are very welcome to my thread. We are indeed going to have a January challenge and I am very much looking forward to chalking up some new names. 32B3 10k can be shifted easy... my debts that I want cleared will stretch to about £23 per month more than I earn in total so if you can't beat 'em join 'em:rotfl: - and I shall be laughing all the way at weird lunch creations / staying in or working overtime on Saturday nights / refusing meals out etc for the next year!
Welcome to the mad house both of you.... we are literally going to run a mega riot on our debts and make 'em all weep. Check out my on-going diary if you need to see some ruthlessness in action... then keep eyes peeled for January's challenge...
Onwards and Upwards!!!

GelMC how could I be mad at you my little silver fairy!:( Well done on all the free cinema outings though and the interview! I suppose one pair of shoes won't break the bank but you can't keep making excuses - there that's all the berating I can muster. I see little sad puppy eyes looking at me from your post...:(:(:(
I have my paws crossed for you tomorrow though. So close to Christmas too which mean possibly starting the new year with a new income so its not a bad thing eh?
