I don't take two days off work afterwards! Not sure it would go down well with my boss0 -
A deal's a deal, Phil. No-one forced you to agree to it. And you're going to have lost half a week's revision if you don't start NOW!
To edge back on topic, in the world of work, if you say you'll do or not do something, it's generally best to either do it or not do it as agreed. I've spent tonight at a meeting which COULD have been avoided if someone had done what they said they would two weeks ago, or at the very least said a week ago "I'm really sorry I'm not going to be able to do that."
As I said I'd be at this meeting tonight, I've spent a day at work, come home and bolted my tea and gone out. My brain starts to shut down round about 8 pm, so whether I was talking sense by the time we finished is open to question. But I said I'd be there, and I was.
You said you wouldn't be here, yet you are. You said you'd start revising today, but you haven't. Thank your little cotton socks none of us is going to act as your personal referee for any job applications! :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

So does your job require a lot of writing?
We are not talking about a job but studying in my case.
I have lost the momentum after my essay I do admit for some reason:beer:0 -

Yes, well, I do keep up to what I promise if I can. I just have a mental block with this degree. I do not know why but I just sometimes do not have the motivation to do things in relation to it.:beer:0 -

You certainly haven't lost the momentum of posting on here though, have you?!!! :rotfl:0 -
Wish I could 2 days off when I finish writing the procedures manual and business recovery plan; I take 5 minutes for a swift coffee, then crack on with whatever else is in my in-tray. You're going to have to learn consistency, Phil, if you ever get a job. Not every piece of work requires mopping the brow to a crowd of applause; you're expected to just get on with it, day after day, week after week. It's what self-discipline is about. I can't believe you're slacking when your Finals are right round the corner, but your choice. Just don't come moaning on here when your results reflect your input.Nelly's other Mr. Hyde0
