  • modestyb - hugs to you at this time.

rising - yay maisie for christmas :) that should brighten things up andhope she can help you get a bit more mobile

me? well NSDers... this is the start to a crazy amount of NSDs some will be true and some not. i may need to go into work for a couple of hours tomorrow but our Directors are making us egg and bacon sarnies for brekka :)

went slightly crazy yesterday, but then who gets to say they had waffles with ice cream and strawberries, and smoked salmon for breakfast? was witha friend and we swapped presents. yes we opened them but this is because otherwise i would have to take them with me and open them infront of my family which would be a bit weird to be honest.

the christmas meat was way more than i thought it would be throwing my budget completely out... i hadnt thought of the cost of a chicken.... JEEZ! what kind of chicken is it? hand reared by the Duchess of Cambridge herself? which meant i had to give him all the money i had in my purse minus about 50p... then when it came to breakfast since i had no cash i just paid for it all on my card. oh well, tis christmas and i have been doing quite well. BUT NO MORE FOR ME. I am putting my debit card under lock and key and just taking out the cash i have planned to spend and i will meet my target.

right bonne tout mon amigos. cooked around 1.3kg of salmon last night and need to get some ingrediants to turn it into something slightly more exciting than fish cakes.

Mind, that one who has "a hhays in Divin" has some weird concepts of making your own--I reckon 4tnum & Mays $ons would be cheaper that what she produces :rotfl:--& it's all well & good if you have access to those wonderful haberdashery stores & artisans, but most of us live in the real world Luv!

Too true i watched one today where apparently i am supposed to blow my own glass baubles!!!! I ask you.....

Rising - To echo what has already been said, you are doing really well, it will take time, but you do sound much more positive now & i'm so glad for you. Enjoy your maisie time over xmas & fingers crossed for her coming home!!

    Modesty - ((((((((((((((((((big hugs))))))))))))))

Red - glad to hear your mum is getting her fighting spirit back!!!

Another one for me today, so that's number 16 :j:j

I can see how much difference this challenge is making just by the fact that when my phone broke i just drew some cash out of my emergency fund to pay for a cheap basic model in cash, before my LBM it would have been a fancy all singing all dancing malarkey on the credit card!! Sometimes it takes something like this to remind me that i am doing well.

On that note, you may remember me wittering ages ago about some money my dad gave me to pay off my credit cards & i didn't dare cos i was so worried about what was going on at work, well today (yes, i know it took a long time!!) i finally bit the bullet & did it :j:j 2 more payments needed on paydays & one card will be gone!!
I'm still worried about the whole work thing, but i don't half feel better for having paid it, i feel totally motivated again!!

First day back at work tomorrow, pretty scared to be honest, keep your fingers crossed for me guys!!

Thank you all for your kind hugs. They are very much appreciated.

BDINI, very best of luck witth work tomorrow, we will be thinking of you.

Not an nsd today unfortunately, DH escaped the dungeon and just had to spend. At least we've saved by not buying alcohol of any sort this year. DH's new tablets won't let him drink and I'm not really interested in it. I prefer P*psi.

    Hugs to all.

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas.
