This is what you get for being coy!!!
You are already over the 12 months mark. You have employment protection. They have to dismiss fairly in law. That does not mean they can't - just that they must. Same advice. Head down. Smile sweetly. If and it is a damned big if, they dismiss fairly then it will take "some time" - days or weeks or months. Nobody can tell you since you haven't been charged with anything! Stop worrying. Do what you need to do. Come back here or visit me on http://www.redundancyforum.co.uk/ (where I usually hang out) if things don't work out - but don't assume they won't. The biggest cause of people getting screwed is people expecting it and therefore screwing up!
PS - stop lying to your dad. They always know anyway so you are wasting your time. Just remember that his job is to be on your side, so don't take any of his advice unless it happens to be sensible! Fathers advice isn't always sensible because stuff gets in the way!0 -

Pm me at the other forum - I don't often come here any more and this was just sheer chance I decided to review your thread. http://www.redundancyforum.co.uk/0 -
It doesn't read to me as though the company want to get rid of you, though the two people you have a personality clash with may hope you will go. I would expect your manager and HR to recognise what is going on.But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

So are you saying here I should tell him but forget his advice but just tell him anyway?.
I have not been charged with anything they did mention something called capability route but this was the last manager. No formal warnings have been given and I think if you have employment protection they MUST follow the procedure set out. Am I correct sarel?.0 -

probs not. But if they know what is going on why do i keep getting asked on the complaints instead of them brushing it off as them being petty?0 -
Probably because they have a procedure...But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

TheWhiteTiger (great user name - must have been watching a wildlife programme) I hope won't mind me saying that they have PM'd me and there is history here that isn't immediately obvious, and I have said I will be happy to take it off forum on the other site I commonly use now. They are free to take up that offer or not. But this is a lot more complicated than this thread indicates.
And OP - dads are dads every day of the week, 24/7 and 365/6. They know when something is wrong. Not telling them somthing is wrong doesn't work. Unfortunately, sometimes their advice is right!0 -
OP it is not helpful to post the same question on different boards - I suggest that you ask a board guide to merge the threads so everyone can see what has already been said.
However, as I said in your other thread on this topic - you are a member of a union, so you should seek their advice. That is what you pay your subs for. Also, they will have full access to the facts and won't be left playing 'twenty questions' trying to get to the bottom of what's happening.
I also share the scepticism of posters on the other thread concerning the almost spooky similarities and coincidences between your threads and those of another recent poster (who also posted on both boards). But maybe I am becoming too cynical in my old age :cool:I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0
