So, no colour today......I am in a dark place. So embarrassed at my son's school today.....had to go and ask if they had some spare plimsoles as his trainers have completely had it.....his toes were hanging out of the front. Was so ashamed and could not stop crying. My poor kids:sad::sad::sad:

  • Ah E4 I really feel for you :-( I know sympathy is prob not what you want so I will say this - I have literally just got out of the vicious PDL cycle so I completely relate to your frustrations. I too would think of that interest and be absolutely gutted!

My interest was £100 on a £400 loan from WDA
    £90 on a £ 350 loan from money shop

I also had a few others over my time such as payday uk, mem finance, txt loan etc etc

I found it stressful and upsetting that I couldn't get out of it - either extending every month just paying interest as that's all I could afford or paying it back to borrow 2 weeks later as I had no money to get to work and the cupboards being bare.

    YOU WILL BEAT THIS!!!!!

I wished I found this forum whilst going through it as I really believe I would of done it quicker by being more focussed and having the support.

    I shall be your cheerleader!!!

    Xx

  • Aaah hun, life is too hard sometimes isn't it. Keep your chin up,glad you got a little bit of money in today to help you through.

You will get there. I just had to raid the only £2 coin I had in my £2 Savers club jar. Ds has a school trip to Bristol today and needed £2 for the gift shop. Really did'nt want him to do without so had to raid my saving jar. Not a good start. Oh well.

Take care, hope you have a good day today xx

    Morning Steph

God, it is so hard, I know I dread it when the kids come home with 'Trip Letters'.
I don't know about your school but at our boys school it is an 'optional donation' to cover the cost of the trip. (the boys are still at primary school)
    Sometimes I pay, sometimes I don't!!!!!!
Daughter came home from school the other day, she is in Y9, saying that they are planning a trip next year for geography. My stomach was churning when she told me it is a 3 week trip to Nepal!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bleeding, Nepal!!!!!! As if!!!!!! Why not Spain or France?????? I am a travel agent and I know that it is going to cost at least a grand to go to Nepal, needless to say, she won't be going!!!!!!!!

So, after my meltdown the other morning, now to be known as Trainer-gate!!!!!!, one of the ladies in the office at my little boys school has given me a pair of shoes for him!!!!! How kind :D:D
2 days to pay day and 4 days till I have to do yet another PDL to cover bills. This is the last month that I will borrow the normal £800 :(:(:(:(:(. I am hoping and praying that the next months diary entry will be less than £700.:mad:

  • Hi Emily,

Didn't want to read and run on your diary so stopping to say hello!

It's amazing how kind some people can be. I know how hard it is to accept help from others at times. I'm not very good at it myself and find myself making things harder for myself rather than accept the help that i'm being offered :rotfl:

Wishing you lots of luck on your journey. I too was on a dmp (now managing creditors myself) and i'm getting there. It's hard on tight budgets just for me alone (with hubbys help!) but with kids I don't know how i'd have coped so WELL DONE you!!

    Choc x
