I wonder if this is a technical issue, or if you check your call history, you may find you did not hang up and left your phone calling in which case, I suppose that they would be right to charge you.0

its only a 1409mins call and if it is a 40p a min mobile call its only £563.60 ouch
cant believe if this is the case the op hasn't checked there phone in all this time.0 -
and neither party checked their phone all day? What goes around-comes around0

what phone battery lasts that long talkDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Sometimes on the new smart phones you can minimise the call and all will show is a green bar. The OP could have even connected said device to a charger without even realising.
Due to this minimising, you could still send/receive texts, and access apps and data on top as well.0 -
I reckon she is complaining as only calling her sister for 23 hours 19 mins0
-
Impossible on a smartphone unless it was plugged in all that time.
I still reckon it would go into some kind of freenzy and crash. Every smartphone i've had gets stupidly hot when on calls.0 -

Ok guys Apologies for starting thread and not completing - chaotic week - and thank you for your comments so far.
Basics are -
I am being charged for a 23hr 23min call. To my dentist.
Facts are -
Yes I did make a call for an appointment at 16.10 on a Friday afternoon. 2mins max
They (dentist) close at 16.30. They are not open weekends. Do not reopen till Monday at 08.30.
They did not have any line 'blockage' on the Friday (have checked with them).
My phone package includes 600 mins talk time.
I made/received txts after making the phone call. 5/6pm ish.
I did not get notification till the Monday from Voda to say they had noticed unusual activity on my account.
Yes my phone was more than likely on charge overnight.
Now I understand that it is apparently possible to txt while on a call. (news to me).
What I find hard to understand that, I would not have noticed that I had not ended THE call - whilst making./receiving the txts.
Also given that my plan is 600mins - I am suprised I did not get a msg at or near to 600 mins to warn me I was exceeding my plan. I have never gone over my plan allowance. Well I did get notification but not till the Monday.
I initially rang them ........... long long converstation going round in circles............. to be told oh yes it does look odd, and that I would get a call within 48hrs - guess what no call.
Online chat next ...... long long again - told they will investigate and come I will get a call back that evening - yep still waiting.
Aniket: I have check your account details and there is the issue with calls on your account and this has happen with few more valuable customers, I really understand your frustration and I could react the same way if I would be in your place,
Aniket: I will just consult your account with my supervisor and try my best possibilities to get this resolved.
Aniket: I have discuss this with my supervisor and I will be raising the case for bill recalculation to rectify the charges again and the team will get in touch with you in next 3 to 5 working days,
Aniket: I will advise you to please ignore this bill, it might be some system error, Aniket: I will be keeping personal track on your account and try to get this resolves sooner, Aniket: Also I will keeping special notes so our bill recalculation team will easy to handle the case, however I will paste the notes for call in details. Aniket: I will suggest you to please wait for few days, I assured you that our bill recalculation team will work on your account and give you the call once the matter gets resolved.
Aniket: Sorry to keep you waiting for long time, however we will investigate the charges and call you in the end of the day.
Aniket: You be rest assured you will get the call from us by the evening for this matter.
Guess what NO call .........
Sorry guys this is so long winded ................
So again I get onto the online chat ..... another long long afternoon! Had to start all over again... this time told they dont make mistakes . and yes they would investigate AGAIN told they would come back to me. blah blah blah. Oh no they did not!!
Yesterday sent an email - copy & pasting the online chat.
This morning get an email to say it is correct and they dont make mistakes............ strangely coincides with the Voda posting on here today.
However no mistakes eh - how come their operatives mention system errors on more than one occasion?
Where to go from here!!!! Thanks in advance for your comments.0
