With that attititude, you'll never get anywhere, and keep believing that the world is against you.

I'm not saying everyone can reach the top (I wont. I dont have that ability or desire), but I aspired to do better than I was doing and worked hard to achieve it.

You seem like a pretty negative person to me.

Good luck. I suspect you'll need it

I'll try and remember to ask the guy at Mcdonalds or Tesco next time I'm in there, to see if they can give me the latest targets for their store, my guess is they are only there for the money.

I dont think you will need to tell employers to stick their job. You have no chance of getting anywhere near a job - and you dont deserve one either.

You must live in cloud cuckoo land, if you think that your local residents would vote for a work-shy, negative, chip-on-his-shoulder @rse like you.

MP, yeah right. Stick to benefits - it's all you are likely to aspire to

Thanks for that.. I actually work for a friend now who has his own buisness. I was given the job, no interview nothing ..just like that. Lol.

    Therefore, I presume that:

    a) He is a ruthless b@stard who lords it about over you because he happens to earn more than £7.50ph. You must really like him as a friend. or

    b) You earn more than £7.50ph therefore you are a hypocrical (look it up) t@sser

Just as well he gave you a job. Try and keep it. You have heehaw chance elsewhere.

Housing costs are out of control, tax, vat food costs, fuel etc etc if these were at a reasonable level £6.19 would be plenty, unlikely for those to be lowered tho, so a min wage with take home around £350.

How much do you think you should earn?

the better question is how much should a decent living cost! housing costs are out of control, tax, vat food costs, fuel etc etc if these were at a reasonable level £6.19 would be plenty, unlikely for those to be lowered tho, so a min wage with take home around £350.
Do you think that all employers could afford circa £8.50ph?

    .

Do you mean hypocritical? , if so its you who needs to be looking it up not me as you have difficulties spelling. Thats o.k there are plenty of places you can go for help with this and if you are low waged or on benefits you can get them free or reduced rate.
If you have reached the dizzying heights of getting paid £7.50 per hour, you may have to pay towards the cost of the course. Its worth it in the long run though as you may be able to break the £8.00 per hour barrier.lol.

(whats going on with the quoting lol)

yes, maybe a change in NI costs etc but the situation now is the tax payer is picking up the short fall, which is a very uneconomical way of doing it.

Over 50% of the population pays nothing into the state or takes out more than they pay in, because wages are too low, housing costs too high.

Sorry about the QUOTE thingy. Me being a cabbage, i think.

Problem is that we were building an economy based on too big a public sector, and with the erosion of manufacturing-based industries.

Personally, I believe that the NMW can only increase significantly when the Government can be sure that it wont cause more problems than it solves.

For the record, I employee an apprentice, and pay them circa twice what we have to, because I think that it is fair thing to do. However, not all employers can afford this.

good on you but lets face it, as the min wage for an apprentice is around £3.40 it's not saying much ;)

(but well done for doing it)
