Jobs for peasants have vanished.
So because you know of one example of a job asking stupid requirements it must mean all cleaning jobs ask for stupid requirements? You should know as well as I do that they can ask for you to be 7'8, doesn't mean they will ever get it. Requirements are often put down to deter mass applications from people who don't really want the job.0 -
Testing you for Corporate mindset and pliability??? they don't want any one to represent the workers, get decent pay etc. Unless otherwise. It is probably to suss you out. I would complete it and take photocopies and keep for further use and or save to computer. I would do both.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

most were already employed so it makes it all the worse, they get paid the normal employee rate but the government is footing millions in costs Morrisons should be paying, the government is paying training bodies to train Morrisons staff.
Morrison's boss when interviewed admitted the figure was more than 40%.0 -

Yup, have to say that kind of defeats the point of apprenticeships....Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -

That was the worst one. The others just seem to want at least a year or two of experience and transport (seriously, on 6 hrs a week who could run a car?) OR they want experience and a CRB etc.
My point is, that what was once a job you could take out of despair is now not an option either.0 -
The whole system is a total utter pathetic joke.0

I don't think you have the right attitude to be employed OP.
I worked for £1.21 an hour when I had all mine in childcare under 5. I had zero debts, lived in my means etc. Somehow I manged to get all I wished for in life (personal and work).
If I'd thrown in the towel as not £10 ph or what I wanted, I'd be on the dole with debts, bankrupcy and no assets.
My hourly rate is now £25 ph.
We all prove our worth and I'd work my way up again (as retraining) and don't see me as above anything, or worth more, or that things are beneath me.
When have you worked for £1.50 ph or less and what assets do you have?
Don't dissmiss those that try and are ready as they'll climb above you and have more than you will have in a few years.
No one is better than anyone else, no matter of degrees, qualifications, parents. You always make your own way in life and if not prepared to bend then you have less options.0 -

If you don't mind me asking, when was that then? - Sounds to me like it was at least the 1980's. By your own admission, you had no debts (presumably that includes rent, council tax etc - which most of us DO have to pay) so how would you recommend the average person WITH debts that have to be paid survive like that then?
If you had 5 kids then that may also mean you had a partner out working to help too. It's all very well slating other people and boasting about how well you've done when you have financial support from a partner, family, paid off house etc but you're forgetting that not everyone is not able to be in that situation. Running them down just condemns them even more.0
