Kwik Fit MOT/BG44K Scam

You should be given a slip for a petrol test, not so common with diesels as they can only fail on one item where a petrol can fail on CO,HC and lambdar plus excessive smoke.

Sometimes mot testers get lazy and don't print off two sheets, as all they worry about is making sure there is a printed result for vosa spot checks.

Well this does ring some bells. I recently had a MOT in Exeter with the same story. Except they gave me read outs on the emissions three times after they supposedly rane my car around the block after adding this amazing diesel addative. Most addatives take a couple of hundred miles to work. It is a shame that this makes me feel like i do not trust them. I change my oil & filter every 5,000 miles with them and just had a set of new Michelins also. So do not need to get screwed by them. i might have to try somewhere else from now on as will shortly need another oil change and my brake pads will need changing also.

I've never used Kwik Fit again after they tried that scam on me.

I go to Kwik Fit if I ever need exhaust mountings. They normally give you them free.

I used local one for years and found them very good, then they changed manager and it went downhill fast, to point of patronising and lying, lodged formal complaint got money back, and proved a point with regards to a dodgy tire they sold me when report came back from maker, I made a point of taking it in and handing it the the ignoramus that spoke to me like an idiot, stood there till he apologised properly.

Though on a positive note, they did make very catchy adverts many years ago.
