Hi Steph,
Wow go you with sorting the car, I'm useless at things like that, so useless that once when I filled the oil I didn't put the cap back on properly que oil all over the engine, when I took it to the garage to be cleaned, they suggested that next time I neded to put oil in I could bring it back to them and they would do it for me FOC very lovely of them but I did feel daft :rotfl:luckly I now have OH to sort these things for me.

Well done with the car. Great feeling eh?
I heard a story recently that was similar. Cannot for the life of me remember who it was or where I heard it. It might even have been in real life. Check the light in the boot of your car. That was the reason the person's battery was going flat, the light in the boot wasn't going off so if they left the car for a day, the following day the battery was flat.
Might not be that but worth a look just in caseMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yes I felt very proud of myself. I think hubby was abit shocked when I called and told him. He is happy as its one less job for him to do, usually in the dark by the time he gets home.
Girlatplay - I will check the boot. Its probably something really silly, but can't figure it out for the life of me and REALLY cannot pay for a garage at the moment. That would undo all my good money saving work.
Thanks all, off to put some ingredients in the breadmaker to make a pizza base for dinner tonight.
Speak later

What a RESULT!!!. I have been babysitting my god-daughter this afternoon. When my best friend popped round to drop her off she bought me a huge box of Thorntons Chocolates as a thank you and two Christmas smarties snowmen for the children. How lovely was that.:)
I have been scrimping so much its been ages since I have had some chocolate.
The last time was when Ds came home from a birthday party a few weeks ago, with a small malteser chocolate each for hubby and I. We kept it in the fridge for two days and then slowly ate them one night whilst watching I'm a celebrity :rotfl:.
Going to meter them out to 2-3 each per night, make them last. Looks like good deeds are worthwhile after all.
Going to save the Christmas Snowmen towards kiddies Christmas Stockings.

Just replying to your comments about not being able to shop around very easily. I can totally see why that would be a huge pain. Im very fortunate to live close to Peckham, not something you read every day Im sure, but I'll tell you why. Not only is there a Morrisons, Pound shop, Icelands, there are an absolute tonne of shops that sell fruit and veg. Today I bought a sack of onions with around 50 in there for £1.30 from a chineese fish shop! That was after buying 2 lurpack butters from Morrisons each with £1 off. Im not helping by saying this Im sure, but I am racking my brains to think if there is some way you could round up the bargains as it were. Maybe by using something like fixture ferret you could figure out which things to buy from your local shops and which ones were better off waiting to buy from the bigger supermarkets?
On the coffee front, that made me saddest for you, everyone needs their daily jolt:(
