    Afternoon Diary

Thanks for posting Muffin Man. Yes, I am going to see how much they earn at the end of this week and if its too much money, I will have to have a think.
I haven't been taking pips from them for bab behaviour yet as was trying to keep it positive. But I might have to if they earn too much money :D.

Not a whole lot done today.:o

Posted two #bay sales at the post office
    Tidied Kitchen
    Cooked quiche for dinner
    Balanced Spreadsheet.

Had a farming friend round for coffee and had an enjoyable two hour chat about orphan lambs and the merits of breeding goats :rotfl:.

Had abit of good news - Have been accepted onto a Teaching Assistant course starting at the end of February. Just one day a week 9.30 - 2.30. Hopefully that might help me get a flexible job in the future :T.

Not much else to report really, kiddies have got swimming straight after school, so must get rest of dinner prepared so its ready to eat as soon as we get home.

    Speak Later x

    Morning Steph,

Good news about the course, is it Level 2 you're doing? I enjoyed it when I did it and I have a book here I can lend you which will help when doing it. x

Edit - Just spotted you're doing a Teacher Training Course not a Teaching Assistant Course.

Wow thanks so much for your posts everyone. Really surprised when I looged on this morning. :D.

PMO2, I probably wrote the wrong thing down in my last post. It is Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. So yes its Teaching Assistant. (Not clever enough to be an ACTUAL teacher :))

Have a worrying moment this morning. Had to have a chat to my childrens head teacher to ask if I can volunteer the 8 hours per week needed in addition to the course.
There are already three other mums on the course and volunteering and as its such a small school, there was a question mark as to wether there was room for me as well :(.

Anyway, she is a lovely woman and agreed that I can count the gardening help I do at the school and also the PTA work counts towards it and she will sort some other hours out for me to make sure it is bumped up to 8 hours :T:T. Phew.......

Just got to hope I can get my rusty brain working. It has been a long time since I did any studying . I have only had children and nappies to worry abouti n the last eight years :o.

I have really enjoyed being home for my children, but there is a large part of me that cant help but feel like a lesser person with not having a job. I know its silly but even if its a part-time job, it would give me a purpose to my day.

A TA would allow me to work but be home for my children. Just perfect.

Anyway better not run before I can walk - got to pass this course first :o

    Thanks loads everyone
  • Morning Diary,

I have been abit ambitious this morning, and have added a £200 #Bay sales amount onto EVERY month on my spreadsheet .

It is absolutely amazing what adding an extra £200 onto every month can do to your budget. I noticed that even though I will be very nearly out of my OD during this year, with the big debt repayments I am making, it looks like I will always be dipping back into it every month, which is what I wanted to avoid.
BUT.......If I can earn the £200 per month extra then I will officially be out of the OD by November.

November would be the first month that at no point through the month would I go into the OD.

So that is my challenge - I have easily got £200's worth of stuff listed on #bay for February. Just got to hope it sells :o.

I REALLY REALLY need to figure out what I can either buy cheap and sell for profit or what can I make.?

I thought about going to some car boot sales, trying to buy stuff for 50p and selling them on #bay.?

Can't be China or other breakables as fed up with the Royal Mail playing football with the parcels and me having to refund :(.

Will have to put my thinking cap on :).

Will check out that thread on here about #bay, might get some inspiration.

    Hope everyone is well. xx
  • great news about the course.

crikey £200 p/m is a lot to find to sell. i'd be hard pushed to think of something so i hope you can coz would be great to get rid of your OD :)

    have a good day x
