Virgin SBT?

That's disappointing, I applied for my card yesterday.
Did they say what the maximum fee is? It can't be a straight 2%0 -
Yes, sorry I omitted to say they told me the 2% fee is £5 minimum no maximum!!!
I really hope they've told me wrong.0 -
I read that too.
The lady at Virgin confirmed there is no fee for standard BT's but there was for SBT's - the 2% fee.0 -
I'm a newbie stoozer. I guess I'll have to get round this by applying for an Egg card, which I was planning to do anyway. The question is, should I wait till next month? I already have one application and a new mobile phone contract for this month (although nothing else since last may). I read that the general rule was one credit application per month.0

I'm a new Virgin Card account holder. I have just phoned them to super balance transfer £5,000 to my current account. I checked and checked again with the lady on the phone and she told me there was NO FEE to do the super balance transfer. Not sure why some people are being told there is a fee. I have kept her name just in case they do charge me!0

I wish somebody could clear this one up. If they do charge do you use an egg card in conjunction with this card, or instead of the virgin card? I think that you would SBT to put the egg card in credit - then get egg to move the positive balance to your current account. I really hope virgin are not charging as I dont want to have to do two applications right now!0
